Depending on your version of windows, the ABOVE line may vary. I'm not sure, but the GYM at one time had a possible virus problem. The folder Ajbworks seems to be some type of trojan virus and as many times as I delete or rename it, it comes back......I'm trying to narrow down where it is coming from -it is DEFINITELY NOT a good thing and my antivirus doesn't pick up on it until it runs. If you have it, I recommend you either delete the folder or rename it. You WILL get a message when you startup your computer that the file cannot be found. This means it's trying to run the files within those folders. Also not a good thing.

If you don't know how to locate the file, avoid doing anything to screwup your computer.

I'm upraging this month from Windows Xp to Windows 7 64 bit and adding more RAM

I'm using ESET NOD32 Antivirus program and it is really good antivirus software.

Find the executable from the task manager.

Delete all references to that executable and the folder you mentioned above from registry and from any start-up configuration (registry, start-up folder, ,,,,etc.), msconfig should let you do the latter.

Once you terminate all instances and delete all references, try to run a good antivirus, I don't think its abiding to site rules to state my preference of AV, but some are better than others.

Well this is concerning. I addition to a couple windows computers I regularly use to access the gym I also routinely use my iPad and iPhone. I'm not a computer guy so I'll ask the dumb question. Do you think this virus could also be on these apple mobile devices?

Very unlikely. iOS is very different than Windows, I "THINK" its even different than Mac OS X.

IMVHO, I don't think its site related, with all my paranoia and antivirus protections, I have yet to get a single alarm from this site.

I've helped dw pin point the trojan, and given him a url to a microsoft site to remove said trojan.

Still doing a scan with MS security tools. Thanks Dangler! I hate this virus crap. This "thingie" was a trickie bastage, as many times as I deleted the folder,,,,it was back!! The good norton didn't find it either. It's like an electrical problem in a vehicle that is intermittent. Yes, I've got administrative rights MrB8. When I was in NY, I would just bring the pc into my sons office and then pickup when done. Now I gotta do this stuff myself and it's not my forte! I don't think I did a dis-service to let everyone know my concern, because it's better safe then sorry I think. :-)

I got hacked too on yahoo mail. We can't even reset our passwords have to call in which is a nightmare :-(

The link is the one in post 7 of this thread. It has you use Microsoft Security Essentials to find and remove that trojan.

I had years a go this anti-virus program which told me where the virus came from

That program told the country where the virus were sent from.
