Condoms: best choice for protection?

I know that the goal of PE is to have a more enjoyable experience with your partner and for self-esteem issues. However, I have to ask, am I the only one who finds using condoms irritating?

I'm not talking about from a pleasure perspective on my end, but from a foreplay and arousal perspective on her side. I feel that if we are in the heat of the moment, it kills the mood for someone to have to get up, walk over to where ever they keep their condoms, tear the package open and put it on, then come back to their partner?

Whenever I stop what I am doing to put a condom on, she just has a blank expression, like she is thinking "please hurry up, this isn't helping."

My question is, are you pro condom or pro hormonal birth control and why.

Our condom success failure ratio is fairly good, at 1 break amongst hundreds or thousands of successes over the last 4 years.

Keep them under you pillow.
Broke one 20 years ago, had to stop and replace was a hassle at the time.
However I have got over it.
Besides the std thing, there is another reason to use them.
If your partner decides to get pregnant, she can have an "acciident" with the pill.
So if she wants to get pregnant but you don't???

well, I'm infertile, so I don't use condoms for birth control! I hate condoms, but when the other person asks you to use it, you have no choice... I would let go without anything as long as I can *living dangerously* I just don't think there's so much AIDS like terrorists say. I know 0 people with AIDS or harsh STDs
I myself, won't have sex while I'm on my herpes outbreak, because I don't want people to get it as well, so I guess most people do the same

Help me last longer, she was on pill and I was wearing them anyway. Just have her blow you when you are opening it. Works great.

Yeah putting on a condom can kill the mood if you make it awkward. Find a way to remain intimate when you are putting on your condom.

What I usually do is keep the condom within arms reach and when its getting close open up the wrapper without stopping foreplay. Keep things intimate. Putting on a condom doesn't have to be this huge awkward disconnect. After I open up the wrapper I usually wait half a minute or so before I pull it out and put it on. Sometimes I have her put it on.

Don't keep her waiting for too long. And don't stop paying attention to her just because you are trying to put on a condom. You don't do that when you are taking off her bra. Why would you do it when you put on a condom?
