  • New guy saying hello

Started on phalloboards and then ************* and read a lot. This forum seems packed with information and I am excited To spend countless hours reading.

A little about me: I am 43 and have fairly good eq as long as I stay out of my head lol. I am at 6.3 bpel and 5.1 eg. according to the charts I’m at the high end of average and never had any complaints. But like most I get the “you're solidly average” or “so in so had a huge one but yours is the perfect size” comments that drive me nuts.

My biggest concern is gaining anything at my age. Has anyone had any decent gains after 40?

I guess I should add in some history as well. I was at 293lb and lost down to 228. I’m currently at 240 and seem to stay there. My fat pad is at 1.25-1.5 and that didn’t change with my weight loss. So my two main concerns are losing it through more dieting or possibly lipo. So if anyone has advice I’d appreciate it. Second is I would love to hit 7” bpel and 5.5-6” eg. are these realistic goals at my age or is this more of a young mans game?

Look forward to reading all your success and failure stories. Can’t wait to learn from them!

    Welcome!

I started PE after I was 40 and made some nice gains (see below). And that was with 2 one year long break and restarts since I began. Who knows where I'd be if I hadn't taken the long breaks.

I looked into fat pad lipo pretty seriously a few years ago. I only had about 1" to take off, so was looking for "sculpting" and not mass vac-ing. My conclusion was that it would probably work pretty well, but it was hard to find a doc with experience in fine sculpting. Most of them do an assembly line of mass vac-ing on much heavier people. I never did it and decided instead to just hit the gym harder. I got down to under 15% body fat and lost about 1/4" off my fat pad. I figure the remainder is subq fat that would be among the last to go if I got any leaner and decided to be happy at .75" fat pad - not bad for my age.

    Good luck!

      Hey Frictionpickle!

      Welcome to the Gym

It would be a good idea to click on the Start Here button at the top left of the page. Lots of good information on what the Gym is all about, including best practices and safety tips.

It is always recommended to start with a beginners routine (doesn't have to be the JP) and continue with it for 90 days or until you stop gaining. Start slowly and build up to the full routine over a few weeks.

I started at age 67 and as you can see in my signature, I have made some decent gains.

Jelq with an erection level between 40 and 70%. Do not grip too tight, just enough to feel blood moving up the shaft . When stretching, grab your shaft about one inch below the glans and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel a slight stretch. Let your PIs be your guide as to how hard to do your exercise.

Don’t forget to take good starting measurements and photos so you have a solid base to compare your gains to. I regret not doing this.

PE safely and good luck with your endeavors .

Hey FrictionP, welcome here! Congrats on the recent weight loss! That's quite an accomplishment. I understand about getting stuck at a certain weight, and it can be very frustrating when you still have more you want to go. I put on the typical Covid-19 19 pounds, and have worked hard to get it off, but also still have much more of a fathead than I want. Not sure how I'm going to get that gone, but I'm still working on it, too.

You're starting off with a good sized piece of meat, and I'm sure you'll get good results. Your success in losing weight has helped you develop good discipline that will also help you here.

Let us know how we can help and support you!
