  • Hi everyone.

Hello everyone. So I have been checking out this site for some time now and have decided to register. I have been doing a routine for the past 3 weeks or so, but officially started measuring and keeping a log December 1st. I’m doing JP90 (but not 5 on 2 off, this seems to be too much for me). I’m doing, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, to start.
First I have a couple of personal habits/problems I must address. I currently smoke and am finding it difficult to quit, this is my first priority. Secondly I’m very underweight. And finally I don’t exercise enough. But I’m taking this as an opportunity to change these things. I hope that with some support I can address these issues as they are affecting my EQ.
So as a part of my goal I am going to incorporate weight.

    My starting stats (DEC. 1st).
    -BPSFL → 18.5 (7.3in)
    -FG → 11 (4.3in)
    -BPEL → 17.8 (7.0in)
    -EG → 13 (5.1in)
Weight → 111 (don’t laugh, I have struggled with this my whole life).

    Welcome aboard, MightyFallen!
Thanks for joining and thanks for posting. It sounds like you are thinking this through and approaching it well. I think that throwing your smokes over board is an excellent place to start and, yes, I know it is not easy. Don't get discouraged if you have trouble with it.
If you are like me, you may find that if you exercise more, you will gain weight and it will be good weight.
You may also find the doing JP's 4 days a week is still too intense for now. Don't be shy about backing off and giving yourself more time if you think you need it. this is not a race.
Keep your eyes on the horizon, laddie.

      Yes, Welcome MightyFallen,
It looks like you've got really good starting stats and are wise enough to know what is good for you and what is too much. I think that you'll do great!
PS: @Pirate, I think he was complaining of overweight: I'm sure that the weight indicated is in kg, not in lbs (just as the length are in cm!)

Yep welcome along mate. Great start stats- it took me months to get to your size! As Pirate says, its a marathon not a sprint, so have a good read around the site and get up on the knowledge it'll help your progress. I'm also cutting down the smokes, its helping my EQ, and i know when i quit for good the EQ will sky-rocket.

Anyways, all the best in your pe endeavours!

The weight is actually in pounds. I have a BMI (body mass index) of 15.9, which is well below the healthy range of 18.5.
I have one other question. Should I be doing 150 ok jelqs and 90 v-jelqs that is recommended? Or should I be working up to that?
          Current routine
          10 min warmup
          10 stretches
          50 ok jelqs
          30 v-jelqs
          50 ok jelqs
          30 v-jelqs
          50 ok jelqs
          30 v-jelqs
          edge (5-15 min)
          warmdown w/stretches

After this i was a little sore but I think my grip is too tight.

Don't increase the intensity/rep number of your routine until you have completed your first 3 months.
Pirate is right to tell you to exercise: that's the only way that helped me gain weight!

                Quitting smoking:
Many years ago, I did practice quitting sessions to see what my side effects/reactions/ symptoms would be.
                *later in life*
I bought & wore the patches, quit, began diet control, and after less than 2 weeks, knew I was successful. After that point, all I had to do was not break down & restart, not "try just one for old times", just never ever re-start.
....thats about 25 years ago in the past.
                Welcome & happy pe'ing.
