Welcome, safety first is the best tip. You dont want to injure yourself. Have you read all the stickies in the beginner forum? Heat is your friend as well, always warm up.
Guess I need to start keeping track.

          Welcome campbell12321!

Well, first take a look through this thread START HERE! It's full of safety advice, tips to make the most out of your workouts, and some beginner routines to get you started. A favorite here is the JP90, though you can pick whichever one you're comfortable with. Also pay close attention to the Physiological Indicator's section.

Take it slow, and be patient. Always keep safety in mind. The saying here goes "It's a marathon, not a sprint." Rushing things will only lead to injury.

Make sure you get yourself conditioned well before you move into anything remotely advanced.

Focus on health and safety first.

And oh yeah, have some fun! It's a great group of people we have here, so don't be afraid to get involved or ask questions.

          Best of luck to you!
