I was too eager to wait until Monday of this week to get back to PE, so I restarted last Friday (2/2/18). I've decided to do a one-on one-off schedule, instead of the five-on one-off I had originally planned, given my prior mild injuries (refer to my previous blog posts for more information). My routine has been as follows:
Routine
~~~~..*..~~~~
Warm-up - Heated rice sock (10 minutes)
Helicopter stretches
Stretch left (30 seconds)
Circular stretch (clockwise)
Circular stretch (counter-clockwise)
Helicopter stretches
Stretch right (30 seconds)
Circular stretch (clockwise)
Circular stretch (counter-clockwise)
Helicopter stretches
Stretch forward (30 seconds)
Circular stretch (clockwise)
Circular stretch (counter-clockwise)
Helicopter stretches
Stretch down (30 seconds)
Circular stretch (clockwise)
Circular stretch (counter-clockwise)
50 jelqs (2 hands = 1 jelq)
30 V-jelqs
50 jelqs (2 hands = 1 jelq)
30 V-jelqs
Besides last Friday (2/2/18), I've also completed this routine on Sunday (2/4/18), and yesterday (2/6/18). The routine has taken me roughly an hour to complete.
Notes & Observations:
- I've found that the rice sock warm-up effectively prepares me for the workout. So much so, that I've managed to go a little harder than I originally planned without any adverse effects.
- The routine is a combination of a meditative exercise and a workout session. Performing the routine with this approach has proven to be quite beneficial. At the end of each session I feel relaxed, both physically (like weightlifting) and psychologically (like meditation). I believe it is paramount to approach the routine this way, lest one begin to grow frustrated or afraid, thereby losing interest and eventually stopping before one could put in the time to determine the effectiveness of the routine.
- I've ordered a reasonable supply of L-Arginine. I want to see what kind of effects the supplement will have on my body, not just for PE, but also with respect to general muscle growth. I should receive the L-Arginine this Friday, and will begin to take the supplement that evening. I plan to take 2g per day.
