  • L-Arginine and CoQ10 together?

I read the thread about taking Cialis and Maca together and was curious about taking L-Arginine and CoQ10 together. To be honest, I've not seen much benefit from taking the L-Arginine but I may not be taking enough. I take 2 1340mg capsules that contain the following:

    Niacin 30 mg
    Calcium 30mg
    L-Arginine AKG extract 400mg
    L-Arginine AKG 2:1 extract 400mg
    L-Citrulline 200mg
    L-Citrulline Malate Extract 200mg
    Beta Alanine 80 mg.

Along with a B complex caplet and 2 100mg CoQ10 capsules. With all that NO being released I should be hard as nails all day long but I don't get that way.

I am no expert but that does not seem a big dose of arginine .\

    The q10 is a bigger dose . I don't see any issue.

There is no risk with taking coq10, it is a very safe supplement. L-Arginine and L-Citruline are considered non-essential amino acids. I don't know how it works with non-essentials, but with essential amino acids you can send your body into an amino acid imbalance and that is no fun. All those supplements do is increase your blood vessels bandwidth pretty much. They don't actually give you an erection just make it easier to get one. That being said, if you increase it too much you can get low blood pressure which can also cause ED so you need to be taking just the right amount, not too much. Hope this helps man.

        Thanks to all.

@squall81 - Interesting you should comment on low blood pressure. I've always been "marginal" on high blood pressure; it was always high when the nurse would take it (white coat syndrome) and then when the doctor would take it, it would be slightly above the high threshold but not enough to warrant pills. Always got a "It's kind of high, but we'll keep an eye on it." This past appointment it was high because of WCS, but when the doc took it, I was well in the normal range. So exercise and I guess the supplements have had an effect.
