  • Maximizing Testosterone with natural herbs and supplements

    Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my current supplement stack which I've optimized to maximize testosterone through natural means. I also only take supplements that have little to no side-effects, have no significant long-term risks, or that are apt to cause dependency. I welcome your feedback!

I cycle extremely cautiously to minimize dependency. I split my stack into two parts, and alternate Day 1 and Day 2. I also take a week off every 3 to 4 weeks.

    Day 1:
    Ashwagandha - 500mg
    Damiana - 500mg
    L-Arginine - 1000mg
    Mucuna Pruriens - 500mg

    Day 2:
    Lactobacillus Reuteri - 1 capsule
    Tongkat Ali - 500mg
    Tribulus Terrestris - 500mg
    Zinc - 25mg

    Daily supplements:
    Omega 3
    Cod Liver Oil
    Vitamin D
    Sunflower Lecithin

Happy to provide my comments, rationale, or description of any of the above in anyone is curious. I wanted this first post to be short and concise. Is there anything you would add and/or remove?

Ok so you seem to use both hormone boosters and blood flow boosters ? What about the Reuteri?

I don't know all the details between which are hormone-boosting and blood-flow boosting, but based on my research, all of the above should raise testosterone (aside from some of my dailies like Omega 3, which is for overall health). That was my criterion.

Lactobacillus Reuteri is a specific probiotic that has been shown to increase testosterone and testicular size in mice. A common misconception about probiotic is that all probiotics are good. There are many different varieties and I've found that Lactobacillus Reuteri and Lactobacillus Rhamnosus have the most positive effects for male health and performance (although research is fairly minimal at the moment). Have yet to try Rhamnosus.

As with most herbal and non-traditional supplements, there isn't a ton of research on some of them, which is why I am cycling extremely cautiously (alternating days) but also chose supplements that have minimal side effects.

I would look this up if I were you. Herbs don’t usually have interactions with other herbs. But if you are taking any medicine they might. And it could be a lot for your liver to process

Hey I heard something about alternating hot cold showers can help increase testosterone. Seems like a pretty easy way to boost testosterone so maybe you should try it out.

I don't think it's possible to increase it naturally..

those are a waste of money it's about as good as a placebo pill which will help you more

This is a real worry and a reason guys go to drugs without giving natural methods any real effort .

Natural methods are well known to work numerous studies show it . Some of the methods are cheap or free like get more sleep .

A supplement shown to have a strong effect is vit d which is very cheap and commonly undersupplied.

Many studies show that a huge proportion of the population in the West are deficient in Vitamin D.

Think about it - our ancestors (i.e. 99% of human animal history) was spent where - outdoors. Hunting, gathering, etc. We were in the sun nearly all the time. We stayed away from colder climates. I'm towards the North, where we have long winters. Many days (if not weeks) I get ZERO sun at all.

Look into supplementation - not all of it is bogus.

I recommend starting with basics - multi-vitamins, vitamin D, omega 3 fish-oils, zinc. Admittedly, I'm experimenting with herbs that are not as well-known. I'll be your guinea pig.

I heard 20 minutes of daily sun is enough for vitamin D , but of course if you get zero sun at all you may lack of vitamin D . I agree with you that all of these substances supports production of testosterone .

They have been reexamining the amount of vit d required for max health and thus the amount of sun etc and there are a lot of variables in the mix .
Here in the sub tropics where i live 20% of people are deficient in vit and I was one of them . Now I have light skin and get outdoors more than a lot of people so i was shocked .

Unfortunately, this generalization is not true. Genetics weigh in on this.
Im from the west, with roots in the middle east. throughout the summer in europe, I was out in the sun a lot for about 1-2 months straight. I was vitamin D deficient. Check with your doctor/physician and you will know where you are in the spectrum

I’ve read similar reports that vitamin d recommendation could be off by a significant value. Considering you can’t overdose vitamin D easily, supplementation is a safe bet.

I haven’t been taking my stack religiously, but noticed sore nipples today. Some natural T boosters cause this as a side effect. I will be taking a break. Partially a good sign but also partially a bad sign.
