What kind of natural methods are you thinking of? I have taken Vitamin D and Horny Goat Weed before...I thought I read that both of those can boost testosterone. I have worked on some deep squats at the gym. Are these the kind of things you had in mind?

They also deplete each other so a lysine deficiency can be caused by arginine supplementation and vice versa.

Arginine weakens immunity and viruses thrive on a high arginine environment. A well documented example are herpes viruses but it probably doesn't end there.

So I think doubling your intake of arginine by supplementation is risky. If lysine is supplemented as well to keep the ratio the effects both in good and bad are likely less. High doses of any individual (mineral, amino acid, vitamin) can throw things off balance and cause serious side effects long term.

Instead of compensating by supraphysiological vasodilation by manipulating NO pathway you should get your testosterone sorted out. That level is clinically low and likely to cause ED.
Thanks Venti! That’s some good advice.

Just wanted to note that I took the L arganine and citrulline as directed for nearly 2 months, and noticed no difference. I'm no longer taking these.

Sorry for the late reply, Al. In the AM i did take them on an empty stomach getting ready for work, and the PM dose was usually sometime after dinner. I've thought about trying this experiment again, but not in capsule form. Many people have a hard time absorbing through capsules. May try a powder form and take it with a shake or something.

Powder form is most effective. GNC has an inexpensive flavored type. If you get straight L-Arginine you'll need to mix it with something as the taste of pure L-Arginine is quite foul.

Is there a juice or some other mineral, amino acid, ingredient that you can take to help with absorption? I know some ingredients have synergistic properties when mixed properly.

Grape juice is high in glucose- which can make it easier to get aminos or other substances into the bloodstream.

Can we fact check this? A google search brings up some papers that l-arginine and NO boosts the immune system. Now in this age of pandemic this kind of information is very important.

                      Fact: https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-sup...e/art-20364681

My two cents on the ED issues. Both Arginine and Citrulline are amino acids and typically found in enough quantity in western diets to not require supplementation. That being said, supplementation is usually benign.
If you are looking to correct ED without mainstream drugs, I would look towards also using some herbal medicine as opposed to just relying on these amino acids. I take the amino acids in their normal doses because I regularly strength train as well as PE. In some instances people anecdotally report that they started taking these amino acids and 'Bam' wood like a porn star. For me, anecdotally I noticed no difference.
Some herbs you might want to look into for your ED:
                      - Maca
                      - Gingko
                      - Ginseng
                      - yohimbe
                      - Horny Goat weed
In my past (and when I didn't need it, was just experimenting) I used several of these all at once and became an even more horny and rock hard 20 some year old. It all eventually ended when I started developing migraines. As I said, I had no reason to be using these for ED.
Also, work on boosting your testosterone. Working out will help with this and frankly is something I'm sure your PCP would be happy to clinically help with as low testosterone has been shown to be a detriment to male health long term.

Before my ED became sever, I found 5 gr. of L-arginine (NutraBio) taken daily helped generate a semi. Tong kat Ali also helped.

So...what is the recommended dose of citruline and l-arginine per day? I have powder citruline for example from MyP*****n and a box with arginine (60 capsules - 1000mg per capsule)!

This is totally anecdotal, and I can't say for sure that the Arginine is what's making the difference, but I've been taking 2 g of arginine in tablet form off and on for several months. I recently became complacent (stopped taking it for a week or so), and around the same time my morning woods became weaker and/or went away. I'm back on 2 g per day for the last 3 days, and morning woods and EQ in general are now through the roof. This could be related to natural cycles and/or other lifestyle factors, but it's worth taking note. not2big also mentioned 5 g per day helped him, so maybe start with 2, give it a week, and go up a gram a week until you notice a difference?

I've never taken citruline, so I can't speak to that.

I hear of these being used for blood pressure any info on that >

In regard to virus I have heard the disturbance in the amino acid ratio when taking arginine leads one to be more sensitive to herpes but I have not heard re other virus . Citrulline I have not heard of this issue with .
