Hi Guys,
Something I've been trying recently is ingesting concentrated beetroot juice about an hour prior to pumping. I'm finding that the pumping sessions feel a lot more 'comfortable' - now before anyone latches on to the word comfortable, I don't mean that I've been finding it uncomfortable or that I've been pumping to discomfort. Quite the opposite. I tend to stick at 2-3mmhg. 'Comfortable' is just the best word I can find to describe it. The session just feels better.
Beetroot is high in nitrates which can help blood flow and smooth muscle relaxation so there is a potential mechanism of action for anyone wondering why I'm using it in the first place.
If you have a diet low in nitrates (e.g. leafy green vegetables, beetroot etc) then you might stand to benefit more so than someone who already consumes these types of foods on a regular basis - basically the rationale behind any type of 'supplementation'.
I'm not suggesting beetroot juice will make your dick bigger but it might help your training.
Enjoy!
