Another size study is being done

Apparently a size study was being done. It was also looking at self image.
(a few links follow below, including to reddit, but none are soliciting anything, at least not intentionally)

I came across this on the BickDickProblems (BDP) subreddit:

Supposedly the initial solicitation for volunteers was posted on smalldickproblems (SDP)

I was just wasting time on reddit and stopped by BDP (don’t ask my why, it really is more and more of a waste of time), where I saw a post about the survey. I was curious so I read through and found that it was already “shut down”.

I found it interesting that on BDP someone quickly suggested that getting people on either BDP or SDP would skew the study.

Of equal interest was the thread on SDP and how quickly it went negative then back to positive as the researchers actually spent some time answering questions. Though no one there worried about skewing the data...
And as the study was to look both at size and self esteem, there were lots of pissy redditors complaining about them looking at SDP and talking about self esteem. Though I do not see why, as a quick perusal of the other ongoing posts in the sub seemed to all deal with self esteem either explicitly or implicitly.

Self reported and self voluntared internet studies are of no use ,

That said there is a good article onsite and it was well motivated . The issues with seld esteem are very real and it;s good to see the doc had concern.

Seems so foolish to me, on one hand, dudes have terrible self esteem issues about their penis size and how they perceive it. They should all send in pictures. Like, seriously?

Well a PHD seems to not help with basic common sense i often think it hurts .

I get the impression actually she was not concerned with actual size and more with the head issue part.

Reading through the initial reports and then the answers posted on reddit it seems that there was a dual interest, first to determine true average size then show that the amount of anxiety towards size is misplaced, hence her interest in the SDP subreddit.

I have some research articles on Cognitive-behavioral therapy for body dysmorphic disorder and management of men with complaints of a small penis. I'll post once I have reviewed.

Yeah, I started a thread once just to try and wrap my mind around the idea.
There is alot of literature on the topic, so i want to look through some and get the info up here. I have summarized a number of studies and will start a thread soon.

Sounds like it just got canned/cancelled (saw a post on Facebook about it). The only bit they did release was based on what they had received thus far, the average (however it was measured...not sure) was between approximately 5"-5.6", which would at least put it in line with other BPEL studies.
