Using MSM topically instead of DMSO?

After some research I found out that DMSO is topically used as peyronie treatment cause of its softening properties. It's not harmless tho but MSM seems to work similar with less dangers as far I researched.

Did anyone try out using MSM and noticed anything? I thought about mixing MSM powder with lotion or using Thacker's Formular by replacing DMSO with MSM.

Any ideas for this?
