  • Smoking and libido

Hi, i'm not quite sure if this thread should be in this section or not so feel free to move it.

Anyway, as some of you may know my biggest problem has been the length of my refractory period and I have tried many, many different methods to improve it...but this morning I decided to quit smoking! the biggest change yet

I have smoked 20-30 cigs a day for the last 5 years and I presume that it has affected my sexual performance in some way. It is well known that smoking decreases circulation but is it also true that smoking reduces testosterone and libido? Libido is the main reason why I am giving up

    Thanks

Just had a cigarette I lasted a grand total of roughly 12 hours, going from 30 to 0 is harder than I thought...

I should reduce what I smoke before quitting

Anyway, Rockstar good to see that your libido has increased, hopefully it will be the same for me when I eventually manage to quit!

Hey padawan787 I'm a smoker too also trying to quite. I don't know if you already quite or not but it has been hard for me. I made up a program for me cause cold turkey hasn't worked of me yet. My new program I came up with seems to be helping me so far. I'm calling it the 20 day program. Day one I smoked a hole pack of 20 smokes. The next day 19 and waiting 10min's in the morning before lighting up that first smoke. The next day 18 smokes and waiting and extra 10min's in the morning making it 20min's before that first one. Every day I take away another cig and add 10 more Min's to the day before time for that first cig of the day. So far this seems to be working for me. I am only on day five so far, but the cravings are going down and I haven't even been smoking all of the days cigarette's. I also been trying to wait extra longer in between smokes and putting them out earlier when I have that satisfied feeling. Hope maybe this will help you too.

I smoked super light cigarettes for a week before attempting to quit again, Philip Morris one's with 0.1 mg of nicotine.

This presumably reduced my nicotine dependence, I guit again a while ago and I am now 11 days smoke free

          Good luck!
