  • Incorporating A Deload Week!

Ok guys this isn't really a theory in my opinion but it is sound in it's application.

I do a Gymnastic Strength Training Program. The program ramps intensity over a full 12 weeks to a point of mastery.

How Deload applies to the JP 90 program.

Simply cut the intensity of your work load in half on the 4th week of every month based on the 1st weeks of that months session. That's it!

How it works is you are taking an active recovery week. This helps by maintaining constant PE sessions without having to take long break periods of 2 to 4 weeks or more. Preventing injury from long programs.

If you are one who likes to ramp up intensity over time this theory is really great to apply.

Note that Warm Up and Edging should not be cut in half in my opinion.

So a schedule could look like this...

    5/2 Schedule. Weeks 1-3
    Warm Up
    10 M stretching routine
    10 M jelq session
    Edging

    Week 4
    Warm Up
    5 M Stretch Routine
    5 M Jelq session
    Edging

    That's it!

My apologies if this has been discussed before. I think of something and simply put it out there if it sounds right.
