  • Why isn't pumping best?

    Alright so first of all I'm not really trying to pump or anything, I personally like manual exercises best, and I don't plan on changing unless I stop getting gains altogether..

    I just have a scientific question..

    I don't own a pump but I've had one before... I bought one from a local porn shop(pe) to give it a try a while back..

    When I would pump, I would be able to get my penis (erect) to a very large state. I never measured but if I were to estimate, I'd say it would be around 7/7.5 nbpel and ~5.5 eg.. These numbers are about 1"x0.5" larger than my normal erections...

    My question is;
    If I can pump my penis so darn big, why wouldn't pumping get me the largest, fastest gains?

    It seems like all that stretch force would cause more or bigger tears..

    I don't understand..

    I think you want to be erect before pumping. Go check out the group Pumpers.

      See my signature block for the most effective use of a pump for girth. Pumping alone has worked for others, but not me.

        +1 I agree Namso, pumping with clamping and manual girth work is the most effective.

          While gains from pumping alone can be achieved, it tends to take longer when not combined with a solid manual routine. The key is putting the right amount of stress on your cock to stimulate growth. Pumping alone does cause breakdown of tissues but the effect of the vacuum is gradual and not as fast as can be created by manual exercises.

          I used to clamp but found that my routine was really taxing on the tissues and it caused too much fatigue.

              Just food for thought. Normal to high blood pressure is 2.3-2.5 psi (120-130mmhg). When Jelqing that might double in the entire penis. When pumping you can achieve a outward force that would equal about 2.455 psi (5"hg) to 3.93 (8"hg). The reason I believe pumping isn't very effective for gains when used alone is because even though you could pump to 10"hg (4.91psi) that force would only be very high at the surface then deteriorate as it went towards the center. To sum it up pumping isn't as effective at creating pressure at the core where the smooth muscle is because the force is external not internal. Looking at these numbers its not hard to understand how you can damage veins and blood vessels close to the surface.

                Wow! Perfect, thanks...
                I understand now. That is very interesting. I knew something didn't seem right.
