  • Theories on Early Gains

Just a few ideas I have, and I want to see any ideas others may have as well on the subject. Why some people gain faster than others.
I'm just going to list a few of these ideas... I hope we can get some extra posts, because I'm very interested in figuring out something. Kinda working on a side project here... This would be hard to do in a real study, due to people having a different technique, even if they are told a specific way to do something.

-TGC has been discussed in full, so I'm just going to say all limiting factors that may be there before any PE is done whatsoever.
-In stating that we can say that some of the beginner exercises may help some people in a better way due to what their limiting factors are, whether they know them at the time or not.

-Some people just have the ability to put on regular muscle easier than others... supplements and protein intake aside, some people just can easier. How this correlates with the gains in PE may not mean anything, but you never know. I put on muscle fairly easy, and never have an excess protein intake, and I made faster gains...
-If idea above holds true, then those who take extra protein for muscle gains MAY see increased gains in smooth muscle of penis.

-Obviously there are factors such as age (easier for younger people to put on muscle... may not be the same for PE though.), body fat% (a maybe), diet, smoking habits, drug use, exercise, and any medical conditions.

    -MINDSET!

Alright, that's all I could think of for now, if anyone has any other ideas, throw them down here, I'm going to try and collect as much info as possible. If you could also list your first 3 months gains (if you know them), height and weight. Also, if you knew your limiting factor at the time of initial gains, tell me what it was and summarize your routine (IE if tunica was limiting, so you stretched more.... like what % of your routine were stretches and what were jelqs). I know we have the study that was done about the average gains over the period of time, I'm just trying to figure out what specific factors in their life/body may attribute to faster gains.

    Thanks fellas.

I have trained a small amount of professional athlestes when I was personal training years ago, so I most certainly know the benefits of protein intake. However I am just not a believer that protein makes any difference whatsoever in p.e. I know there are others that dont agree with me on this.

I don't really have any solid reason for this belief, other than the thought that most people get adequate protein each day if they are eating a balanced diet, and we are talking about very very small gains in terms of muscle mass. Your body would not need much protein for the gains experienced in pe, I am quite sure.

I certainly dont think protein hurts, but unless your engaged in moderate physical exercise or have a dietry deficiency, I cant see any benefit in taking protein purely for pe gains.

Again, just my opinion, and I'm more than happy to be proved wrong. If someone can show me a direct link between increased protein uptake or synthesis and increased size of cock, I'll be the first one taking 3g/kg

My own thoughts on early gains are due to, in order

    -technical ability (form, knowledge)

The most I ever did to add some protein to my diet would be throw an extra piece of meat on a sandwich. I'm with you on that. Some people are firm believers in extra protein = extra muscle. Although the muscle type is very different, I'm sure the added nutrients couldn't hurt. What if we were to look at it differently. Someone who has a protein deficiency... would they have less gains than someone who gets enough daily protein intake?

In my opinion: easy early gains = more common in people with low EQs. People with higher EQs at the start of the PE don't seem to get those very quick 1/4" bursts that come with the EQ jolts after only 1-2 weeks of jelqing. I started with an EQ of 10 and it never really departered from there and I think that's why I never saw early gains. That and inconsistency...

I would think that that would be the case. The human body is very hierarchical, meaning the most important bodily system is attended to first. Reproduction is about the last thing the body is interested in when it comes to a chronic or acute deficiency. So the protein that is there would most definately be used elsewhere.

An illustration of this point is what happens to the body in hypothermia. The body really is quite amazing.

Gator in regard to your point maybe that is an opportunity for a poll if it hasnt been done already?

NP97: Great thread. I agree on all of your points, including the idea behind protein.

Gator, I believe your spot on - SO LONG as the PEer doesn't overtrain. When you have poor EQ to start with, it's much easier to go overboard in my experience.

I dont think there is a correlation between how fast you gain muscle and how fast you gain size.

I also agree that mindset represents a HUGE percentage of PE. In fact, mindset could easily represent 75%+ of what PE is.

Are you saying some early gains are due to increased EQ?. That can be eliminated if you measure with an erection at scale 10 (even if you had to take a viagra to get it), and then measure later with the same scale erection (either another viagra, or didn't need one because PE helped). If you do that, you're going to be measuring actual gains, not gains due to just better EQ.

I agree consistency is key, along with a positive attitude and patience. Give PE time to work in months, NOT weeks ... at least 3-6. Some people gain quick and easy ... but it sometimes helps to think about the tortoise and the hare

Just putting aside P.E because I'm a beginner and don't have sufficient knowlegde about it (yet).

But when I first started weight lifting several years ago at the age of 17, I used to go hard. Pretty heavy for someone who was just a beginner. I never injured myself, only got really sore after the trainings. I had to recover for several days and then start again. The thing was, my muscles grew REALLY fast, never took any protein shakes or anything, I just had a protein rich diet. Within 3 months I bulked up more than my friend who was doing it for a year already. What I did differently was just going hard, but really taking my rest afterwards and adequate diet.

Now here's the weird thing, this friend of mine, after he saw my gains, he also started going hard with his training. Only thing was, he wasn't gaining. But I found out what he did wrong...He trained hard, yes, BUT wasn't consisted at al, had a bad diet, bad food, would skip for a week, etc.

Several years passed and I got rid of my bulky body because it didn't fit my character at all. I have chosen for a athletic body instead, not too big, but ripped. My friend however, now has bulked up his body, after 4 years ! He told me that since last year he was finally seeing some gains. And how? Well, he trained even harder, almost every day, CONSISTENTLY (REALLY CONSISTENT), and changed his diet. But he also admitted that gaining muscle was very difficult for him. He had to train harder than me and some others to see the same amount of muscle gains. This was tough for him to admit because he was the 'tough' guy, at least thats what he thinks himself. Every once in a while, I see him in the gym, training hard, just to keep his muscles.

You can draw several conclusion yourself from this story, but I think if you have the right genes, gaining is a lot easier. Also, recovery is important. I didnt had a choice because I was too sore to continue my training, BUT I didn't let my body fully recover. When the soreness was like 25% I started weight lifting again. My body reacted by growing stronger muscles.

Long story short, genes help a lot if you want to gain fast. My friend however is unlucky and he has to work harder.

This is the point I'm trying to make. I think a lot of folks don't have a good perception of what their EQ is. I read a lot of times where people say they have 10/10 EQs, but how many of them know what a 10/10 is? I think sometimes people think they are 100% "bonerific" but really they're more like an 8/10. I'm not trying to discredit anyone's gains. I mean, a gain is a gain. But I think a lot of our huge early gainers (the folks who gain 1/2"+ in 1-2 months) are achieving a higher erection quality than what they are used to. When they initally measured, they said they're EQ was 10/10, but in reality they were measuring an EQ of 8/10.

I know I have been guilty of it too. It was sparkyx who made me realize this. I told him my EQ was 10/10, but then he told me to reach a full erection and then try to bend it to the side. I was able to bend my dick almost 15-degrees to the left. Guess what? That's NOT a 10/10 EQ. That's more like a 7 or an 8. I started a poll on this matter not too long ago. https://www.pegym.com/forums/poll-fo...rticipate.html. But the poll is inevitably flawed because people mismeasure their EQ.

Like I said, I'm not trying to be a jackass or anything about this. It's just my theory. I think a lot of the people who come here searching for a bigger penis read about the folks who make fantastic early gains. They get fed up when they don't make similar gains. They don't realize or understand their EQ and how it can effect your perception of early gaining. I see this connection all the time - here and at Thunders too. Sure, there are those that go against the grain, but I think my theory is pretty sound. Huge early gains can almost always be connected with EQ jolts. I have yet to find a situation, where all parameters are considered, where this isn't the case.

I do agree with you Gator. I think that nobody knows what their EQ is until they can get harder than before.
Yes, genetics will play a large part in anything. Muscle gain, fat gain, ect.

What I'm trying to say is what could possibly help with early gains. The correlation between skeletal muscle and smooth muscle is fairly unknown to me. I'm just stating that having the right amount of protein is needed to build muscle. Does that have a connection to gains in PE? Probably, but moreso in the case Roc stated above. Lacking protein may lessen gains, whereas having enough wouldn't help you, but it wouldn't hurt. It would keep you on track.

Being overall healthy can help as well. In my first month of PE I gained about nothing, once I started eating better and working out consistently I gained. This could have just been because I had been a month in and I finally started reacting to my workouts. It could have had something to do with my improved health/fitness level.

Mindset will always be key in anything. For losing weight, I have been totally positive about it, and lost about 15lbs while putting back on muscle mass. Same deal with PE. 100% positive mentality, 100% positive gains in the nether regions.

I will say, the reason most people quit is from expecting instant results or over training. People who expect to gain (whether PE or anything) instantly are going to fail. They NEED to know it will take time AND have the PATIENCE and the CONSISTENCY to follow through on their workouts. Over training can lead to injury. With lifting, I have done that, gotten pissed, and quit for a few weeks. With PE I think most people who over train in the EARLY stages of PE (as in pre-gains) just figure it's bullshit, we're all lying, and all they do is hurt themselves.

How about supplements? Anyone think they truly help with gains? I only take Omega-3, but that is more for the rest of my body, so I don't know how well they all help. I'm not talking enlargement pills, but moreso some of the ingredients in them.

Actually Gator.... I have been thinking and agree with you 100%. I honestly can't compare my EQ pre-PE to what it is now. Hard to reference, especially due to being bigger now. I was PROBABLY like you were, and thought it was a 10, when it was more likely a 7-8.
                        Anyway....
Sometimes I feel kinda bad. When a beginner says "OMG I GAINED!! .5" AFTER 1 WEEK!" I don't want to say, that's probably an EQ gain. I tend to just say 'congrats and keep up the good work.' or something like that. Better to bite the tongue. If it puts them in the right mindset that they are going to gain, then I'm not going to say shit about that most likely being a + in EQ.

Good thoughts NP. I'm not really discrediting gains here. For someone with ED, having a boost in EQ is a gain. It's a big gain. I guess my point is that I'm trying to help answer the question: "Why do some people gain faster than others?" I suppose this in a way is somewhat an answer to that question. But it's obviously not universal. Hey, you never know. MAYBE the key to continued success in PE is exercising until you achieve an EQ of 10, then safely dropping your EQ back down to a 6 or 7. Then, bringing it back up to a 10 = this is where you see the new gains.

I agree that big early gains are likely due to EQ improvement. I had very good early gains and I know my EQ was pretty bad when i started. The initial stretching out of tight ligaments could account for some of the faster gains as well. I consider the first 1/2" I gained as a "newbie" gain. If someone had pointed that out to me it wouldn't have deterred me from PE at all, but the initial gain did give me the motivation to continue and stay committed. Mindset is very important IMO.

This is a really good topic right here.. What i have been noticing with my EQ is that it has softened down after a jelq session within 6-8 hrs. Basically what i feel is that the smooth muscles seem to be fillin up rather quickly and my erection goes up very slowly. NOTE:The erection i am speaking of is the VERY FIRST one after PE then after that erection goes down i get another erection right after that and very quickly and slightly much harder. How do i interperate that? I am 25 years old as well but i used to have more morning woods a few years back and now they are harder to come by. What do you think can help me figure this out? Should i just wait until my eq comes back or since i am already gettin a positive pi which is easier to achieve erections then what am i missing?
