I have some weird stomach problems that I won't attempt to self-diagnose. After keeping a detailed food log and and several extremely restrictive diets, I determined that rice, wheat, corn, potatoes, legumes, and nuts all upset my stomach. I don't know why and I don't care why.

Now I eat a pound of meat and 2 pounds of sweet potatoes every day, along with other veggies. Problem is, I'm turning orange!!!

Serious question: what else can I eat for calories? I need the calories for weightlifting
Fat is the most caloricly dense substance you can eat and the body prefers it as fuel. You do not need carbs period for hypertrophy just protein. Eggs are your best friend (I eat at least a dozen a day).

I ate a dozen eggs a day for a long time, ended up becoming allergic! After taking a break, I can now eat two eggs a day without a problem, but that's only 150 calories. I can only eat a limited amount of dairy as well. Sorry for not mentioning those in the first post, but thanks for answer anyway!

I kind of agree and disagree about fats though, moderation is key, saturated fats are good within reason, about 10% of your calorific intake is safe, the rest can be monounsaturated fat like olive oil for instance, which is also good for Testosterone production, bottom line, everything is good in moderation.

Proteins are needed and so are complex carbs and healthy fats, balance your meal and you will do good, and make sure you are getting enough nutrients, calories alone are not a good gauge, the source does matter, and there is such thing as too much of a good thing, it turns bad.

        Just my $0.02.

A real man never hurts a woman. The woman came out of a man’s rib, not from his feet to be walked on, and not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved. - Mrs. workin_4_it

Take the massai, some of the healthiest people on the planet, heavy fat diet low carb. It is a myth that saturated fat is bad for your health. We have higher brain function because we eat and ate animal fat with great fervor. Monunsaturated fat is more prone to spoiling too.

How is red meat for you? Mix up the lean and fatty cuts. Coconut oil is great stuff too and provides serious fuel for the body.

I eat a pound of pork shoulder every day, boiled for 8 hours in a tasty soup. It's delicious! I save the fat and use it on other foods too. I also use the pork fat for PE! The thread is coming full circle!

Okay I'll be the jerk and say don't eat any one food group with great fervor; moderation of all food groups is the best. Well it used to be; some of you guys got your own ideas.
As for the Massai tribe, the reasons for their health is a bit more complicated than just eating lots of meat but I won't go into as as I tend to get in trouble and yelled at and all that other stuff and I'm getting older and don't want to hear it. Great sentence by the way huh?

There's a special tribe which lives in the States, they eat hamburgers and french fries exclusively. They're not healthy .
If you eat only fat you grow fat, if you eat meat you grow meat . You know what option is left if you want to grow your schlong

They are finding now that fat does not make you fat. In fact it dies just the opposite. Not getting fats and proteins makes your body store fat.

Accordingly, it probably contains higher levels of mercury and other undesirable minerals.

The commercial was touting krill oil generated from farm produced krill which have not been tainted by mercury, etc.
