  • PE-ing in the morning worse than at night?

    Hello!,

    i simply stumbled onto the question, wether our time on the day we train, may affect the effectiveness of our gains.

    Eg PEing, right before going to sleep leaves leaves the Penis unused for several hours. Better for regeneration?

    Whereas, working on it on mornings may imply the danger of the penis being exposed to several factors, that can result in it being stressed too much after the workout (instead of lying passively during sleep)
    => eg. Taking a piss, Erections, possible pressure from tight pants etc.

    Its just a theory i hope someone experienced can refute or confirm.
    Apart from that : DLD (thunderplace´s DoubleLongDaddy = Mike Salvini) recommends stretching on mornings, and jelqing on evenings.

    This may be quite interesting for people with varying timetables. Reasonable answers would mean a lot to me!

      If there is a period during the day when you are more stress free and have the fewest disturbances going on - that is the best time of the day for doing PE. Forget about the clock because if there is a perfect time biologically but that time is inconvenient for any number of reasons, then it isn't the best time.

        may affect the effectiveness of our gains.
        In that context, gains are such a long term achievement, I believe it is of minimal consequence.

          Also the penis is not inactive in the night. There are many of us who get up to urinate, and many have several erections throughout the night. I have not seen a correlation between time of day and best gains. I often do some PE throughout the entire day.

            I always have preferred doing girth work in the morning, and length-work at any other time. Girth-work is because of the ease of getting an erection and also better EQ with the morning wood. Asides from that, it is down to personal preference or when you can fit it in.

              I would say morning, then all day you can do jai stretches and other things to help stay elongated.

              If you get night erections this could work the same way, hence having good PIs is good for gains possibly ?

                I prefer mornings, for the same reason as kickinthemebs. But here is some food for thought: Testosterone and HGH levels are at their highest levels upon waking. These hormones can contribute to cell growth and reproduction. So it could be very beneficial to do PE upon waking (as well as doing a regular strength training workout).

                But, like I've said before....the best time to do PE is when you have the time and privacy to do PE. Better just to do it when you can.
                (Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
                (Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)
                Aug 16th 2015: 7.375" BPEL x 6" MSEG
                Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

                  You are correct about T Levels in the morning, but for me it is absolutely the worse time of the day for me to lift. A few times I have done it say 10:30am, but that is really pushing the envelope for me.

                    Well when i first finished JP90 i started do some of variations of PE for some time and also experimented with 1 on 1 on, 2 on 1 off and 5 on 2 off, also tried only stretching one day and then jelqing the other, and i have noticed that my PI's were the best with stretching one day jelqing the other so then it hit me to try jelq/bathmate in the evening and stretching in the morning from which i have gained 0.5'' of flaccid in just over 2 weeks and also my BPFSL was longer for 0.5''

                    So if you ask me I would split stretching and jelqing and be doing them jelqing in the evening stretching in the morning as this worked best for me

                      I have a slightly different routine in that I have 3 days that are morning routines, and 1 day that is typically an afternoon routine. I find that some mornings are more difficult to maintain focus and a good enough EQ for work, but I also think that has to do with the season.

                      I would much prefer a night routine, but it's not in my cards!

                        This is the engine that drives PE. We try different things and share them. Then others try them and over time they become common or get discarded. Thanks for sharing. Everybody, thanks for sharing. Thanks to the ones who came before and shared.

                          I prefer both I think both could have their merits. Your hormone levels are at their highest in the morning, penis is more than likely warm and rested from the night. At night, during sleep your body works the hardest to heal itself. I don't know, I'm a believer in frequency work, not marathon duration work...so I choose option C, Both.
