Yeah, I've never had the courage to bring mine with me or any PE devices while travelling. Just too embarrassing if they start looking.

I take mine all the time. Never had an issue, but once thought the screener was going to ask if it really worked.
If you bring an extender, I would keep the device intact .
Disassembled rods may appear as ammo under a x-ray and nobody wants to see that. In fact ,would use every rod piece I had and make sure it is 10" long. Who knows, may end up with a hot date with a TSA screener!

Here is my experience with various devices and carry on bag:
1. Bathmate - no issues (I brought extreme that has hand pump, but this is plastic and looks nothing like the brake pump)
2. Phallosan - no issues
3. Vacutech Pulsar - no issues (I separate the pieces. I put the electronic pump in my briefcase and so the only thing in the carry on is a plastic cylinder. This one makes me much more confident than Bathmate that it won't be an issue and is now my favored travel device)
4. LG Hanger with 10lbs of fractional weights and hand brakes. I got pulled over every single time. Coming and going. I'm not doing this one again.
Last - you can take all of the above with you if you are checking your bags with zero issues. I pack my LG and weight set on every vacation that is long enough to required checked bags.Gobble Gobble
