Hey All! I just watched a video about the “Male Hanger” by a YouTuber called Total Man. I searched the forums if anyone has previously used the device only to come to results that dealt with mixed feelings towards Bib and his hanger vs Male Hanger. Since I could not receive a straight answer from a search result. Would anyone mind answering the question on how well the device worked for them? Not looking to read about arguments. Just trying to find out if the device does the job and how well of an experience you’ve had hanging with it.

It's possible to hang with it but these compression hangers are always a PITA.
Most depends on the wrap and adjusting the hanger and that's very individual.
Vacuum hangers can be more comfortable.

It's a cheap copy that lacks the padding of the Bib. It will work but it, as well as the Bib, has a steep learning curve and there are some who never can get it right and give up on it. They both can be uncomfortable but without the padding the male hanger would be likely even more so. Go with vacuum hanging.

What do you mean by learning curve? The guy from Total Man made it look really simple. Am I going to expect some sort of “rubix cube” type of frustration trying to place it on?

You just don't clamp it down onto your dick. You need to build(bunch up) up a shoulder of the internals ahead of the hanger to effectively make a grip, especially at the higher weights. There are toe-in/toe-out adjustments to be made, how much you tighten it and when to start building the shoulder as your tightening it to name a few. What worked at the lower weight may not work at a higher weight and it will once again take more experimenting to make a proper grip.Without that it's just going to slide up against your glans and that's the last thing you want. Letting your glans take the load of the hanging weight is very dangerous. He made it look easy because already had all the adjustments and his technique down.

I've never heard of building the shoulder. Is this a common term? didn't see anything about it on a quick google search

I’ve never heard of building the shoulder either. Are you referencing the way to wrap the glands? Because I am a bit confused. I was going to message the guy over at Total Man to see how long it took him to get his technique down.

Of course he's going to tell you it's simple and nothing to it... after all he wants to sell you a hanger. I'm not trying to talk you out of buying it or any other hanging device. i just want you to take your time, do your research and know what your getting into before making a purchase.

Here's an experiment I want you to try. make your grip just below the coronal ridge, stretch and take note of what you feel is taking the load of it. your glans are. Now make your grip about 1 1/2 inches below it, stretch and take note of what you are feeling. Do you feel that your glans are still taking all of the load or do you feel that some of the internals have bunched up ahead of the grip which in turn is putting more of the load on your shaft?

While reading this I came to terms with one mistake that I personally have come in contact with; I own the LG Hanger and have used 3M micropore tape to protect myself. Every time I’ve finished working out, the amount of residue that is left on myself is ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous! I use the same amount of tape that is shown in wrapping videos so I know I’m not overly excessively taping. It’s true that it’s fantastic tape, but its when you’re taking it off that it become a freakin nightmare. I once wrapped and saw a pinkish mark on myself after taking the tape off. Which is scary for beginners. Honestly, if there was a better way to not get THAT much residue on myself, I would stick with the LG Hanger and the micropore tape.

Try the 3M Nexcare waterproof tape. I've used that and it leaves no residue at all. The other thing you might want to try is the silicone glans cap. I've also used that with good success but it can be a PITA getting it on without any air pockets. if there are any air pockets in it will in effect expose your glans to the vacuum,

I tried the 3M Nexcare tape when I first got the device and developed a blister from the vacuum. I’ve had Hampton Adams Athletic tape and have developed blisters from them as well. I’ve been debating whether to wrap to the tip of the head with Athletic tape and than cover the head with the micropore tape. I saw a video from LG where KingSnake just tapes the urethra. Which is a bit odd not taping the rest of the head but that’s what he does. I’ve also tried the glands cap but it got tiring after a while with the wrapping first and than adding the cap and than trying to make sure the vacuum is working correctly with it.

The one thing I know for sure is I am not stopping. That’s why I wanted to reach out about the “Male Hanger”. Coming up on three years consecutively next month and I don’t want to just say it’s time to stop.

The glans cap is used to replace the wrap, not be placed over it. What other wraps have you tried?

I watched a video where the person placed the cap over the wrap for extra support. Taking it that he didn’t know what you did. The wraps I’ve used previously have been: 3M Necare No Hurt, MEDca Self Adherent, Hampton Adams and the 3M Micropore tape.

I was using the MEDca wraps for the longest time until I got to about 10lbs and started developing blisters. If the glands cap is working wonders for you than I might give that a try. I do have some toe caps around my home. I remember using a piece of paper to make sure that the vacuum can work well in the LG device. Did you use a regular toe cap or did you buy the one LG sells?

I use the LG one. Some guys have no problems getting a good vacuum with the glans cap without anything in the bottom of the chamber. For me the soft silicone always plug off the vacuum port hole which in turn gives a false vacuum level reading. I use a patch of cotton cloth to prevent it from sealing off and allow the vacuum to flow in and around the glans.I piece of paper towel also works well. The piece of paper you are using should also do the job.

I found the easiest way to put on the cap is to roll it up like a condom and roll it down over the glans while semi-erect.

I took your advice and did it just like this for a 30 min session. It works well including the rolling up part. I’m thinking positively that this will work well. If this work well, than I’ll concentrate on creating a ADS device. I would finally like to own after all these years but am a bit skeptic from what one to choose or making my own.
