  • Extender for 3 hours a day long enough?

    Hi

Is using only an extender (no other techniques/devices) for only 3 hours a day long enough or a waste of time?

How many hours accumulated would usually equate to 1cm or 1inch length gain? Eg 1,000 hours? 2,000 hours?

    Thanks

Try to shoot for at least 6 in my opinion.

3 hours a day should get you results. Obviously the more time spent extended, the faster you will see gains though. I’ve gained a half an inch and I would say I average 3-5 hours a day.

It’s hard to say but the general rule is 1000 hours per inch. I gained my half inch in roughly 350 hours which is great but I could plateau for the next 8 months. It’s really tough to predict as we are all so different

Heard the same as Erock... 1000 hours per inch as a "general rule." I try to aim for 4-5 hours each day, but even if you can only do 3, it'll still work. Might just take longer. Think of it in terms of cumulative hours overall, not necessarily just hours per session.

        Same as above

Thanks for the advice. I think I can probably up it to 5 hours a day, mon-fri and have the weekend off. (25 hours per week)

But if i wanted to hit 1000 hours within 6 months then id need 40 hours per week, so that would be 8 hours per day! I dont think i have the available time to do that

Either way, im not going to measure until after 3 months, fingers crossed

I averaged 3 to 3.5 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week but also included some manual exercises, as well. After five years, I had gained just short of one inch.

I aim for 25-30 hours a week. 40 would be nice but it’s just not going to work for me. I also add some quick 5 minute stretch routines to do throughout the day during bathroom breaks. Over time that little bit extra builds up into something bigger...quite literally lol
