  • Namsokiek's Version of a Silicone ADS Sleeve

I purchased the materials to make home-made silicone sleeves and I'm pleased to say it worked!! The one I made is truely a sleeve and not one with an endcap as shown on Thunders.

Makes a very comfortable ADS, much more so than the traction wrapping I've previously tried. I experienced no sensitivity in my glands or discomfort at all.

What was the cumulative price of all of your materials? I've been thinking about making some sleeves for after extending.

      HKK,

About $5 for the hardware, $30 for the silicone. I didn't buy a de-gasser, just tapped the cup with the mixture until most of the bubbles escaped before pouring it into the mold.

I used about 1/10th of the silicone for the first sleeve but there was a lot of waste. I think I'll have to make the additional sleeves before the shelf life expires (not sure when that is) but I'll probably try to make some long ones and cut them to size as I need them.

          Sounds very piratical!
Please post explicit directions and materials list. We have had a number of members express an interest in making their own as well.

Did you have to mail order the Ecoflex?

I have ordered from Ecoflex several times and they are very prompt. You can make several sleeves from the sample pack.

                      Silicone Sleeve update

I wore the sleeve during the two-day drive home. Man was it comfortable!!

I made it long and then take the time to wear it so the silicone is in compression so it stretches my unit and my shaft skin.

I adjusted it each time I took a bathroom break, but wore it for 10+ hrs two days in a row. It was also comfortable to wear while I slept.

I tried to make a long one from which I could cut several smaller ones...dismal failure. I'll have to make a short one and ensure I can make the most of the remaining silicone mix.

has anyone been able to make one for themselves?

I had a crack at it following the instruction at thunders and same exp as you. its easy to do comfy to wear and with weights attached appears to be making some progress. I'm not going to measure anything till the end of the year at least, just gonna work away at it and give it a few months before I go checking the progress.

I made another sleeve in the following way:

                          1. The inner pipe (which screws into the bolt on the end cap) was not screwed down tight. I left about 5/8" of the bolt exposed. This created a thicker section which can be used as an all day clamp. Being made of silicone, it restricts blood flow out of the penis just enough to keep things pumped. I will have to trim the inside so the inner diameter is larger and less constrictive.

                          2. I made the inner pipe about 8" long and put a rounded top on it. This allowed me to make a long sleeve with a cap (or more likely, a long sleeve and a cap with a short sleeve). I plan to use the cap and short sleeve as part of my wrap for hanging, but not as a vac hanger. The long sleeve is a reserve for when my first one wears out.

So the cap and short sleeve didn't work too well for hanging. I went back to my self adhering tape and ace bandage as a wrap.

However, if you have a long sleeve and wear it below the glands it leaves the bottom rolled up at the base of the penis. This acts as a ADC at the base and slight compression along the shaft. As blood flows into the penis, the path of least resistance is beyond the sleeve and to the end of the shaft and the glands; i.e. encouraging length more than girth.

The silicone is less irritating as the spot where the pressure is applied than the velcro strip that I use or a cable clamp, but it is not rigid and gives if the pressure inside the penis is high enough.

The silicone ADC I talked about yesterday is pretty good and when used in conjuction with the long sleeve provides enough clamping force to provide a great session. It is also good to use underneath the velcro strap. The velcro provides the rigidity required to clamp and the silicone provides the comfortable padding.

I really liked using the silicone sleeve as a clamping device. Folding it instead of rolling it made it stable, added sufficient pressure to restrict blood flow without making it uncomfortable, and was easy to add the cable clamp or unroll.

I decided to see what happened if I moved my "clamp" space up my shaft after clamping at the base. As I suspected, this tissue near the clamp expands more than tissue away from the clamp, so moving the clamp made the tissue at mid shaft to expand much more than when the clamp is at the base.

I also used it as padding for my SO hang. I used the chest harness I made earlier, hooked up one of the bungees to my wench, and looped the harness around my foot. This enabled me to adjust the tension by moving my knee or ankle. I did like doing this much more than girth exercises.
