You could be gaining in both, only a ruler can tell, take a BPEL measurement and compare to your last one to be sure.

Hey lclutchl. Please becareful with using 3 to 4 clamps bro. 1 clamp is all you need. In my opinion it is extremely dangerous to be clamping off right under the glans or at midshaft with a hard erection. This will eventually lead to scarring in the area you have the clamps compressing at. You see the tunica at the base deep into the fat pad is tougher and a lot more resilient then rest of the tunica thus the reason why applying the clamp at the extreme base is the safest way to do it.
When you have an erection the tunica is pressurized and becomes rigid. At this point it is dangerous to be using compressive forces along the shaft to increase internal pressure. Especially with the hard unforgiving plastic cable clamps. Even with padding this is dangerous because the hardness of the clamps can still cause scarring.
In my opinion you should stick to normal traditional clamping where you just use 1 clamp at the base and to increase internal pressure and safety, use thick wrapping.
Thick wrapping will allow for you to only have to click the cable clamp 1 to 2 times for a super tight constriction. You want to only click the cable clamp 1 to 2 times to keep it in it's circular shape. With enough wrapping applied, the thick padding will assist in the constriction but if you use thin wrapping material, you will be forced to click the cable clamp almost to it's last few teeth for a tight constriction which is dangerous because once the cable clamp has only 1 to 4 teeth left this puts the clamp into an oval shape crushing the sides of the delicate tunica at the base which can lead to damage and scarring.
So in my opinion using thick wrapping to where only 1 to 2 clicks is needed for tight enough constriction and only use 1 clamp at the extreme base deep into the fat pad.

Hey drfrankencock. I know this through my urologist who does PE as well. The only forms of PE he believes in is weight hanging, manual stretching, extending and pumping. He claims he's gained a half inch in length since starting many years a ago but no girth gains so far. He is aware of clamping and has told me that constriction is fine as long as the constriction device is not causing blunt trauma through to much compressive force on the tunica when it's hard and rigid. The tunica at the base can take more of a beating because there is more padding in that area from scrotum skin and ligaments to reinforce the structure.
I also know from experience. Back in 2008 I use to double clamp with one clamp at the base and the other right at midshaft to encourage midshaft size increases. After 1 month in of doing this my erection quality starting going down the drain and worst of all my midshaft started developing bottle neck scarring around the whole circuference of the shaft area where I would apply my second cable clamp. I was forced to take a 2 to 3 month deconditioning break and luckily for me the bottle neck scarring went away and my EQ returned.
I returned back to PE in 2009 but my main focus once I returned was hanging which I got most of my length gains from.
I started back with clamping around 2011 to 2012 and starting studying on how the tunica is pliable and can be manipulated in the flaccid to semi erect state without much dangers. But it's when you have an erection hard enough for penetration, this is when the tunica becomes rigid and in this rigid state injury can easily happen. When the tunica is rigid like this, putting harsh compressive forces along the shaft in this state in my opinion is a recipe for disaster.
So when I got back into clamping in 2011 to 2012 I gained over a half inch in permanent girth. My focus was to clamp and apply tight pressure to the extreme base of the penis but use enough padding to cushion the hard plastic clamp from the tunica in it's fully erect state. I truly believe that one should use thick wrapping when clamping to protect the tunica where the clamp is placed at and to have it to where only 1 to 2 clicks is all you need for a super tight constriction.
I'm sure you guys have seen the shape of a cable clamp when you close it all the way to the last tooth or even close to where there is only 1 to 4 teeth showing. At this point the clamp is now oval shape. Now imagine using thin wrapping material allowing you to clamp your penis down to where theres only 1 to 4 teeth showing. Now the clamp is in this oval shape and squashing and bottle necking your erect and rigid tunica with blunt force. And with the use of thin wrapping material the hard plastic clamp's blunt squeeze will be felt through the wrapping material potentially causing serious harm. The clamp needs to stay in it's circular shape as it constricts the base of the penis. Tightening it down to an oval shape is bad and means that you need to using more wrapping material for a thicker cushioning at the base.
The beauty of clamping tight with thick wrapping material is that it will assist in the constriction and will provide safe cushion and padding, protecting the tunica from the hardness of the cable clamp during constriction as well as allowing the cable clamp to only have to be clicked 1 to 2 times for a super tight constriction. The thicker wrapping material, the less clicks you need for a tight constriction. The thinner the wrapping material, the more clicks you need for a tight constriction which is dangerous with less padding to protect the tunica from the cable clamp in my opinion.
Great response Saiyan. And I agree, I don't think I would ever clamp further up the shaft personally, even when I did squeezes there when I was clamped at the base, I was very careful and did it with gradual increases.
Hey drfrankencock. No problem bro. I hoped that help. Yeah from personal experience one has to be really careful with clamping. I'm not a big fan of doing squeezes and bends and any other type of manipulation while clamped unless you are only clamping off a semi erection in which case the tunica is still bendable. But when you have an erection that's hard enough for penetration, that means your tunica is now rigid to the point where injury is more likely to happen if proper care isn't taking place while clamped.
For me I'm clamp so tight with just 2 clicks of the cable clamp, my normal 6.25 inch midgirth stretches and balloons to 6.75 inches during my 3rd 10 minute set. I can literally feel the side walls of my penis stretched to the max being clamped so tight with thick wrapping material.
Hey kickinthemebs. Thanks bro. Yeah for me I'm clamped so tight that bends and squeezes would injure me with my penis being maxed out. I personally believe that if you really push the clamp as deep into your fat pad as it will go while kegelling at max erection, you'll feel the extra blood forcing its way in the shaft and stretching your tunica walls to the limit. At this point in my opinion bends or squeezes would be impossible without snapping your tunica because your tunica should be as hard as a steel pipe as it is stretched and pressurized beyond the threshold of a normal unclamped erection.
