  • Advice on staying consistent

    Hey guys,

As the title suggests, I'm just looking for some advice on staying consistent. I have "goal ADD" with this kind of stuff. I set the goals, I map out the routines, and I crush it for a little, but then I get complacent and/or life kind of gets in the way. When that happens, often times I forget to do the routine (oh yeah, I was supposed to do that to reach my goals....) until very late and by that time I'm just exhausted so I just skip it.

Maybe I'm just taking on too much, but this happens to me across most aspects of my life when I try to set/achieve goals. The only goals I seem to really hit are the ones I am obsessive about, but then my whole life takes a back seat to those and I get NOTHING else done, so it's not a great trade off.

I'd love to get some advice, particularly how everyone deals with simply keeping track of the things needed to be done hourly/daily/weekly/etc to achieve their goals. I've tried to implement some systems to keep track of tasks, but then motivation to complete those tasks comes into play as well.

    Cheers.

Writing out a routine a couple of weeks in advanced can be a great way of getting yourself to stick to a plan. How long does it take after beginning a cycle before you get bored? Can you elaborate more on your training details? Are you forcing yourself to rest (your mind as well as your penis) on off days?

IMO its just like regular exercise. They say 21 days to form a habit. Personally I say a full month. After a solid month of consistency it becomes 2nd nature. For me I worked it into my morning routine.

Wake up, Wife leaves, Go for run, poop, PE, brush teeth, shower, grab coffee and morning shake, drive to work.
EVERY SINGLE WEEKDAY. forever.... forever... forever....

Part of developing good habits is the desire to change. If one has a mindset where they feel their training is a form of punishment, or that they're consciously active of being "inferior", or training to please someone else's high expectations, then resentment can form. One has to truly see the benefit in what they're doing so that it becomes an accepted and even desired part of their lifestyle.
