  • Change the routine because of sex day?

    Hey everyone,
    I'm currently training for EQ. Previously I tried PE for three times, I got nice size results but my EQ eventually dropped, so I decided it was not worth it and stopped it. This time, I decided to go for EQ only, and after I strenghten my penis, I will go back to jelqing and try to blend both trainings.

    My current routine, which I perform 3-4 times/week:
    Warm up 5 minutes
    20 back reverse kegels
    20 back kegels
    20 frontal reverse kegels
    20 frontal kegels
    warm down

    I have been doing this for about 60 days and hope to take a week's rest soon, then improve it and add another set of 10 kegels of each type. I also do ball massage (2 minutes) and testicle jelqing (50-70 strokes) every other day. I have noticed increase in both EQ (it improved from about 6 to 7.5/8 on a 1-10 scale) and frequency, morning wood, plus more "horniness" lol

    I recently started dating this girl, and when we meet I get erections constantly, when having sex or just kissing.
    Sometimes while we're about it I do a few kegels to stimulate her, in diferente erection levels, I noticed she can feel it when I do it and she likes it.

    So, yesterday I went on with my routine normally and today I met her. We could not have penetration, but we had a lot of fun anyways (oral sex and the like). My question is, should I go on with my normal routine in hopes that it will improve stamina, or maybe do half my routine to just keep it going but not forcing it, or rest completely since I've had a sexually active day today?

    I noticed sex is good for EQ because it promotes insane bloodflow, the erections we get are harder and quicker, must be hormone releases and the like. But I'm afraid to overwork my penis, specially now that I'm dating her. Anyway, let me hear your thoughts on how does sex impact on kegel (and PE also) routines.

    Warming up and down isn't required for pelvic floor exercises.
    I could go on and on about.. oh hell I'll just be brief.
    -When doing pelvic floor work typically a 1 on 1 off is the ideal because you're promoting muscle strength
    -Doing pelvic floor exercises after sex is a great way to train yourself to be able to keep going without stopping
    -REST WHEN YOUR BODY TELLS YOU TO
    -Sex isn't good for EQ. Any erection is good for EQ because that is exactly what an erection does, makes you hard. The more erections you get the stronger they'll get.

      I wa dating a girl and only saw her on the weekend. So I did 5 days PE, then 2 days off when I saw her.

      Now I see my new girl 4 to 5 days a week. Days I don't see her I do a full routine. Days I see her I usually go a little light. Like maybe just 10min jelq at 2pm and see her at 7pm my dick recovered.

      But, I would not do PE at 6pm then see your girl at 7pm and expect good EQ. my EQ goes down after a good session, but I fully recover by morning.

      Sometimes I just use the days I see her as my day off. Sometimes that means 3 days off a week, but I'll squeeze in some PE on Sunday morning after sex. Then she comes back in the evening and Im ready for more sex.
      Start 3.16.15 - 7bpel, 6bpel, 5meg

      Current 1.19.16 - 7.85bpel, 6.6nbpel, 5.3meg

      Goal 1.19.17 - 8.5bpel, 7.5nbpel, 5.75meg

        I don't let sex alter my routine at all. I do PE every day until my body tells me to rest anyway, so if I happen to have sex on a day I have a session, so be it. As I've posted before, I try to incorporate a few exercises in with sex - makes it a lot of fun. Too often sex can be unplanned and spontaneous - that shouldn't dictate how your routines are done.

          My opinion- warm up/warm down because muscles are involved and so is penile expansion.

          Stamina exercises can induce size gains if you've lacked conditioning. Used in conjunction with enlargement exercises they can further boost gains.

          One should never sacrifice EQ for size- that type of training is often non-productive as the best gains usually come when you have high EQ. The slight exception to this is towards the end of a training cycle- where you can expect your EQ to start to plateau.

            Thanks everyone. Really interesting replies and points of view. Well, as most health-related issues, I guess it's different for everyone, right? It makes sense.

            With time I realized my rythm was different from most guys. Whenever I attempted the usual 5x2 jelqing routine, I got fast size results (both lenght and girth) but EQ dropped, and I didn't really listen to my body, I just went on following it blindly. Also, when I first started kegelling, I had problems too, but later on I realized I was doing them too often too hard. Interesting how everything changes once we really pay attention and bring our focus to what we are doing. After a lot of struggling, I realized I could be happy with average gains in a lighter routiner, which doesn't hurt my EQ. To put it in a nice way, I accepted that my timing is different; my body has good enough results with less training than most, as long as I do things carefully :-)

            This morning I woke up to a great morning wood, could I interpret that as my body telling me it should be OK to kegel today, even after my sexual activity yesterday? I think yes...I'm still trying to balance out my trainings, so I I'll try that today and see if it hurts my EQ on the next few days.

            On a side note, I hadn't had sex for more than three years (emotional/low self-esteem problems), and it just feels great to feel alive again! I'm happy I found this forum so I can look for ways to improve myself and discuss it with like-minded people.

            So my plan is: kegel today as usual. Next week or maybe the other one, I'm planning on adding another set of 10 more each type of kegels/day (increasing slightly, of course, like three more on the first day, then six more on the second day, etc.). And then, at some point in next couple of months, add one day/week of jelqing 25 strokes (just jelq no stretching). I want to start slow so there's no risk involved, guess I realized that's how my body works. Maybe that's the most important thing, when you reach this level of awareness about yourself and are fine-tuned with your body, great things happen!

              Also, I had another question, people often recommend taking a week off after spending some time training...does that apply more to jelqing/stretching-type exercises or for kegels too? Anyone had any experience with this?

                As with most athletic endeavors, you wouldn't expect to continually increase volume, intensity, etc. indefinitely without any rest or cycling of your training.

                The layoff cycle is where you allow for full recuperation- and growth. The cycle is also a much needed break after "peaking" with your training.

                  I see! Thanks Big Al.
                  So I should do that soon, since it's been about two months of training with positive results.
                  As for warming up for kegels, when I can't get access to hot water, I normally do some squatting exercises. Not too much, but just enough to get the blood flowing in the pelvic region.
