If any mod can add a picture of the above book to the review that would be great. Also one of Big Al's book in the review of the article chapters would be much appreciated too- still on my phone and I don't seem to have any file adding abilities.

Still wondering whether 1/10 was generous.

Turn phone sideways, scroll all the way down, click full site mode.

Doesn't work it tries to load something but all it presents is the mobile site again. I'm thinking... I have got it to load the mobile site on here before, somehow, but the font was all bunched together so it wasn't legible... But now I'm thinking your tip of turning the phone round might help it present better... If I can just remember what I did the time I got it to load the full site. Cheers

Don't worry, I finally managed to get the full site to work on my phone by using a different browser. So I've been able to add the pic.

The layers thing is a pain in the ass. Try this; turn phone sideways, open new tab, visit forums, click full site mode. I believe that's the trick to rid the layers laying over each other.. at least it is on my phone. Android Google chrome.

Cheers Jay, still doesn't work on my normal browser (Firefox) but I can get it to work when I used chrome. So I stick with Firefox for most things and use Chrome when I need to like something - I only discovered the like system the other day when I got full site working

So the next book to review is 'The Daring Dairy of Dicks: 21 Ways to Bulk Him Up: The Complete Penis Enlargement Guide to Grow in Size and Girth to get a Bigger Penis Naturally' (2018) - Andrew King.

                          Screenshot_20200530-152024.jpg

This is a weird book. By King's own description in the intro the book is a 'wordplay abortion and screwup miscarriage of narration'. He uses a weird style of writing, very verbose and over the top. A lot of the time I found it quite awkward, it was obviously not how the author normally writes, or talks - or if it is he's a pretty strange guy. He goes into very wordy descriptions of everything and for me it wasn't really working.
The book begins with a flamboyant description of society's obsession with large penises and penis imagery through the history of various cultures. I noticed a lot of footnoting, some of it just to explain big or unusual words used in the text which seems to defeat the point of using them in the first place - don't use big words for an audience you think are too illiterate to understand them.

The journey through history and culture reaches pornography and then touches briefly on psychology before finally getting onto the topic of penis enlargement. We are at page 48 by this point and the book itself is only just over 100 pages in total.

Penis Enlargement pills are discussed and dismissed uniformly as a con.
PE-friendly foods are listed and discussed in what was probably the only section of the book I found interesting. Many of the foods are ones I had read about from other sources as having qualities that assist PE. So this section seemed legit.

In general the author seems skeptical about whether it's possible to add length in any PE endeavour. By this point you are beginning to wonder if the title of the book was a little misleading.

He dismisses jelqing as a pointless and dangerous hoax. This obviously would be quite a contentious point in the PEgym and a difficult position to defend given the number of members here who swear by it. The only proper description of jelqing technique he gives is a large quote from another source.

His verdict on extenders is slightly more favourable, stating that there is some evidence for their effectiveness. He gives X4 and the QEP as examples of current (2018) top end devices.

Quite a few pages are then devoted to discussing Surgery, which seems odd since the title of the book mentioned that these enlargement methods of his were 'natural'. He describes (quite confusingly, for me anyway) penoplasty (as suspensory ligament surgery and fat injection) and Dermal filler - silicone (bad) PMMA (not as bad)

There is then a section on unusual historical methods, before the author suggests
therapy for men concerned about penis size (other than those with genuine micro-penis) and concludes by describing basically all PE products as expensive placebos.

I found this book really disappointing. The style was weird and the author actually seems really skeptical of PE, which isn't what you expect from the author of a book whose title suggests it's going to provide you with 21 methods to naturally increase your penis size. In that sense this book feels like a bit of false-advertising.

It's a shame because unless he just made it all up, he's obviously done some research into PE and the history of it, but mainly the history of the cultural preoccupation with penises. So if the style were different and he expanded on the topics I think he could've had this as an interesting book on the history of PE. As it is I don't really know who this book is for. He says it's for a male audience, fairly obviously, but given the title it's like he's saying the book is going to teach you effective PE, but in reality you get a jokey book about penis history and told 'PE doesn't work bro, go see a therapist'.

The small section about diet I did like, so that scores something. I'm really struggling to score this one for much else.
As a writer he's obviously more skilled than the author of 'Natural Way to Penis Enlargement' but this book for me was a total miss for PE enthusiasts.

                          I score it 0.5/10
I'd say this is another one to avoid.

Keen book club members will notice that I originally said I had 4 PE related books - and have now reviewed all 4. So I'm all caught up! 2 I say were reasonable, 2 were pretty terrible. I have another one on order, expect a review when it arrives and has been read!

More PE books are available electronically, but I'm old school, I like to feel the paper book in my hand.

One piece of advice I do have for any of you considering PE book purchases is, if ordering online, to read the book description very carefully! If it reads, grammatically and in content, like a scam advert for penis pills.. that's probably how the book itself is going to read!
                            Cheers
