  • Scrotum getting in the way of jelqs

    First post here, not sure if this is a problem for everyone else or no one else, apologies if this has been asked before or this is the wrong forum.

    My scrotum seems to attach quite high up on my shaft so when I go to grip the base i do seem to grab alot of excess skin and pull it with the shaft with each rep. To try prevent this I will try hold my scrotum or push down at the base of my shaft with my other hand when I take grip and as complete my rep.

    This motion of pulling down while pulling up does seem counter intuitive as Im almost forcing blood out of my penis when the idea of jelqing is the force blood into the penis. I still have a solid OK grip with my first hand so the blood has been forced through my shaft and into the head of my penis.

    Is this pulling up and simultaneous forcing skin down hurting my jelq quality and potential gains?

    Holding back skin with one hand while performing reps with the other is a common way to jelq. You may be able to get away with a hand over hand method if you use a thick lube.

      I also think this is a common issue.

      Even though high temperatures aren't supposed to be good for the gonads, the scrotum has the evolutionary quality of arising towards the body when too cold / hanging down if too hot to cool down. - So maybe a bit of more heat could generate a small win of skin & place for jelqing..

      I find it really annoying too! (Especially cause i was circumcised too tightly & i am quite the shower, so with higher erections levels, there seems to be no way around.. Maybe foreskin restoration could help? NORM - The National Organization of Restoring Men )

      Having to stretch the balls away with the other hand when jelqing, that is normal!

      There is one option though.. (I think it has been discussed in some forums already)
      Use a hair tie / a cockring around the balls to keep them away. Of course: Beware of doing this too tight!
      It may work for some. I only do it sometimes, cause i think i can grab deeper into the shaft, pulling the scrotum away manually..

        Brother, I feel your pain.

        My crown jewels hang low, and with excess baggage. I find it strange some people seem to want big low hangers.

        Those people have never sat directly on a testicle.

        Heat is a good idea, and work that requires you to pin your base with an OK grip should stop skin creeping forward.

        As for hurting your gains, I think that is unlikely. We want to expand the inner works of wang and not the external skin. Try using Uli's or Big Al's squeezing techniques.

          Thanks for the tip

          I do switch up my method every now and again from dry jelqs since i can take a grip exactly where I need to, perform the rep then release at the glands. I dont release the grip fully so keep the skin attached and this does stop the scrotum getting caught up in the rep.

          I have also experimented with doing an almost reverse V jelq. I just use the V between my thumb and forefinger to create a strong grip and force blood down the shaft. This also feels like a good stretch however i obviously dont get a complete seal around my shaft. Would this be a problem as if would allow blood to circulate in other areas of my penis? It is the easiest jelq to perform, does seem to force blood into the penis and i can move from one rep to the next with ease also. Is this a valid form of jelqing or am i wasting my time?

          Have only been doing this for about a week so have no substantial time to make any gains yet

            They attach high and hang low. I dont know if this is a desirable look. My dick does just about hang past my scrotum when flacid, does almost feel like it makes my shaft look shorter than it is.

            I feel like I was gifted with too much scrotum. Ill look into Uli's and the squeezing techniques, thanks for the tip brother

              I have the same issue and switched to one handed jelqing which solved the problem for me

                Do you use a single handed technique exclusively or did you find that changing the grip or form was a good change up and yielded better gains?

                  Another option is a ball stretcher. Definitely avoid jelqing the scrotum or you will get turkey neck like me.

                      Look up the URO stretch introduced by one of the "retired" greats, jockinthebox. I've also started using a homebrewed ADS as a skin stretcher, using a neoprene cockring to hold the skin at the base, and a couple of therabands (one to wrap, one for tension). It's already given me a little extra slack along the bottom

                          I would reccomend both, ball stretcher to keep skin away and overhand ok grip so you can hit the base more.
