  • Been away from PE for about 4 months. Do I have to start from scratch?

Because of various things that came up in my life I haven't done any PE in roughly 4 months. I'm sure I could have found the time but my mind was elsewhere. But since i've been out of the game so long do I have to start over with a completely beginner routine or can I resume a more intermediate routine?
Current goals: Lose weight, ditch porn completely and get in the habit of PE again.

You may not need to start over completely, but you should start off light and work back up to where you were at. Pyramid up to it.
    Starting Size (09/2009): ~7"BPEL x ~5" MSEG
    Most Recent Measurement (08/13/2012): 8"BPEL x 5.5"MSEG
Final Goal: When I'm told to stop.

No, you don't have to start up again with a beginner routine, although I would, no need to rush in and hurt yourself.

Personally I would start with a beginner routine and gradually ramp up time/days/intensity until my positive PI's decreased, then cut back a bit and use that amount of volume for a while then try to increase it if all my PI's are positive. There is nothing wrong with a beginner routine, I always seem to come back to them as they leave me fresh and full of great PI's.

      Welcome back, and good luck.

I suppose it depends on the level you got to before you quit. Which was...?

But if you started at your join date then you've only done like 3 months on 4 months off so I'd suggest a beginner routine yes.

Yes. I was doing it for about 3 months. I was doing jelqing about every other day and stretches typically everyday.

I was hanging and took off for like a month and had to decrease the weight because the weight before was way too much...other than that no you don't have to start off from scratch. Listen to your body if you are way too strained then decrease intensity if you are fine start of where you were.
              Starting April 2010: NBPEL: 5.25-5.5
              BPEL: Approx. 6
              EG: 4.4

End of November 2010: NBPEL: 6.5
              BPEL: 7
              EG: 4.6

              Goal: NBPEL: 7
              EG: 5-5.5

New Routine: OTS hanging, bundled stretches in between, erect stretches, 100 jelqs at full erection level.

I would continue where you left off with proper warm up.

Just be cautious.... a quick start is not worth getting injured. Be careful!

After JPs 90 I ended up taking about two months off. I decided to give myself about 3 weeks to get my conditioning up to par before continuing where I left off. Trust your body (I think) and don't be too anxious. Better to be cautious and make steady gains than be aggressive and get injured and then have to take time off again.

Slow and steady wins the race...but that's just me.
                    STATS:
                    Start (Aug '10) -- BPEL 6" x 6" -- BPFSL 5.75" x 3.5"

                    GOAL:
                    BPEL 7.5" x 6.5"

I myself just came off a 4 month break and while I didn't revert way back to the newbie routine, I did exactly as is stated above. I started out light and built myself up.
