Recently, in addition to measuring my BPEL, BPFSL, and my EG, Ive also started measuring my what I like to call Erect width. I feel that personally this measurment is just as important as EG as far as keeping track of gains is concerned. Right now I measure just a hair above 1 1/4 across. I just wanted to know if anyone else includes erect width in thir measurments when taking measurments and keeping track of goals?

Cool idea, but a hard measurement to make...Especially if you want to make a proper measurement in the middle (vertically)where you would be at the thickest. You could always put two light plastic cups on the edge of a table and simply push in between them (spreading them apart) and then afterward measure the distance between the cups. I am sure there are easier ways, but it would be hard to get an accurate reading just using a straight ruler from the top and a measure tape wouldn't work in this case.Last edited by Hockey_NY; 02-24-2011, 09:15 AM.

You do bring up a point hockey_ny, especially since the angle you are measuring is 3 dimentianal, but Ive found that regardless, using a typical ruler does the job and the way I sually do it, is by tilting my head while measuring so that I can make each side of my shaft meet, its not the most accurate, but it gives a very good estimate."I came, I saw, I conquered"- Julius Cesear

Width will tell you about your CC size, but a guy with a well developed CS and a guy with a less developed one, who both have the same CC size will not be equal at all.FL 6.0"/MFG 5.75", BPEL 7.00"/MEG 6.5"

That's how girth measurements are taken anyway. This is talking about the width.Originally posted by Jethro View PostCan we use a tape measure? You know what tailors use?
RBI brings up a great point as well - some guys are deeper than they are wide and for some, it may vary at different points along the shaft. Like myself, while my CC is pretty developed and I have a good width, my CS is very pronounced and subsequently, my girth is pretty deep as well (not to mention the diff in base girth ...)Old Gym Log - Tracking progress with the iLogPE App

So depth could also be considered a valid measurment, along with width."I came, I saw, I conquered"- Julius Cesear

While a well developed CS stands out visually, its contribution to overall girth size is far less than what CC's contribute, not only because there are two CC's vs one CS, but each CC individually is larger than the CS. That being said, I don't plan on giving my CS back any time soon!!!!FL 6.0"/MFG 5.75", BPEL 7.00"/MEG 6.5"
