  • cuts on the skin because of stretches

    Hello everyone,

I have been practising PEGYM, stretches in particular, for the past 2-3 years. I never got big results, never measured, But I think I had some small gains during the years.

However, lately I decided to increase the intensity. I do JP90 stretches one day and side-to-side stretch the next day. I started putting more force and pressure when stretching and, to be honest, from the 3rd-4th day I was doing it more strongly I felt I had some gains already. But I was left with a problem: Some kind of "Cuts", or red marks have appeared at the base of my penis skin. they hurt if I touch them, they are very red and get worse when I stretch hard. I believe I have been stretching with maybe too much intensity and this happened.
How can I continue vigorous stretching but avoiding to get these wounds on the skin of my penis? They are not worrying, just a little bit red lines. I want to keep doing stretches more powerfully cause I feel it will give me more gains.

    Thank you all

Tell me if I understand correctly:

You're saying the marks you are seeing are at the base of the penis. They are not at the point where you are gripping the penis. Right?

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like you are stretching a lot of skin with your gripping technique. I'm trying to picture how this is happening. It sounds like you must be gliding a lot of loose skin forward during your pulls.

Is that what's happening? I'm trying to understand how that much pressure is being applied to the skin at the base. There should be almost no tension on the skin, but lots of tension on the internal tissues of the penis and on the ligaments.

      Yes, you understood correctly.

These red painful marks are at the base of the penis, on the skin. Yes, sometimes I might be gripping the penis from there.

Yes, there is a lot of tension at the skin. I don't know how to have a solid grip without putting tension on the skin. If I grab the dick without stretching the skin, I would very easily lose the grip because the skin on top of the penis would make the glans slip off my grip.

        Reccomendation:
1> let skin tears heal fully.
2> do not continue doing using increased pull or tension; that was the cause of breaking open the skin surface. It is more than your cells can take.
3> research/find other ways, methods to accomplish your goals.
5> proceed gently, with limited increases.

Just to add to what Dangler is saying, a couple suggestions:

Try sliding the skin on the shaft of the penis back toward the body before you set your grip. With less skin under your grip, less skin will be pulled forward when you stretch. This will also put more skin between your grip and your body so there will be less stretching of skin. Also make sure you are not starting your grip at midshaft or anywhere near the base. Your grip should be placed near the glans, but not right on it. I've posted recently on another thread some other tips on manual stretching that might be of interest. It includes a link to a very old post about how to make a nonslipping grip:

Hope we've helped. Best of luck.

The above advice is excellent! You may also consider using a small cotton towel to pad and enhance your grip. Also, be sure to use only enough force to accomplish the stretch.

After training, close attention should be paid to any anomalies like little cuts, etc.- as well as moisturizing the penis. The latter will help to prevent skin issues.
