  • Not gaining girth - when to change program?

    Hi all,

I know that girth gains generally take longer than length, but I've still made no gains to girth at all (started in Feb). While it took a while to get the hang of things, I've been mostly consistent the whole time with very few breaks, other than a few scheduled ones.

I have been following a modified version of the JP90 most of that time - my current program is as below:

    - LRSDU stretches (quick kegel count of 65), followed by 10 big circles and heli shakes
    - 8 minutes jelq
    - 2 x 45s ulis
    - 8 minutes jelq
    - 2 x 45s ulis
    - 8 minutes jelq

I have only recently included ulis (a bit over a month ago), but haven't seen any changes to girth over my entire PE (jelqing seems to give some girth gains to most guys). Length gains have stagnated as well.

Just wondering should I give the ulis more time to work or whether I need to include more advanced girth work? How long does it typically take to gain girth?? I'm a patient guy and more than willing to put in the commitment, but I need to see some improvement to keep me motivated and I'm worried that I'm wasting my time at the moment with something that might not actually give me any girth gains at all. At what point do you realise that it isn't adding girth and to do something else?

I still want a bit more length as well, but I want to get my girth up to 5.5"+ as soon as I can. My length is already pretty satisfactory - while I could always use more, I am reasonably happy with it. Plus, the way I see it, more length can lead to problems, whereas more girth (up until say 5.75") is just a bonus. EVERY girl I've been with could easily have taken 6" girth when they were fully aroused, but some of them I don't think I would have been able to go all that much deeper.

      It's different for each person.
I think you should do your jelqing first, then do ulis after, so it's 24 minutes of jelqing, then ulis.
Too be honest i think Ulis gives you better Eq, but not much girth.
Maybe you should look into clamping, when you are ready?

You have been at it for around six months so you should be well conditioned. Try doing all of your jelqing in one longer set, this will be better for expansion then 3 short sets. You can then do all of your ulis together as well. You can also read up on clamping.
Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

BTA, as I look at your program

            - LRSDU stretches (quick kegel count of 65), followed by 10 big circles and heli shakes
            - 8 minutes jelq
            -2 x 45s ulis
            - 8 minutes jelq
            - 2 x 45s ulis
            - 8 minutes jelq

I only see Ulis done 4 times at 45 seconds each with in the program.

To get more girth you are going to have to do them at least 10 to 15 sets a day for 60 seconds (1 minute each set) 4 sets are just not going to do it.

If you started in Feb and we are in July you penis should be accustom to putting more stress on it now.

Jelqs do help with the girth process as well, and if you are doing them correctly which would be 100 jelqs per 5 minute intervals.

As they should be done 3 seconds a jelq, which would give you 20 jelqs a minute.

If you are doing them for 8 minutes that would be 160 jelqs per 3 session would come out to be 480 jelgs total.

            I would recommend 500-600 jelqs a day.

If you are satisfied with your length right now, stop doing the stretches and just concentrait on the Jelqs and Ulis for one full month.

If you still don't see an encrease in girth try increasing the jelqs and ulis a bit more for the next month.

            Hope this helps.

            Quick Note:
I would not recommend this program for a newbie because you have to condition your penis first which usually takes between 3-6 months before doing more advance methods.

Only reason I was doing the ulis inbetween is for something to do between sets. Plus, sometimes after a few sets of ulis, my EQ goes down, so a set of jelqing inbetween is good to recover.

My only concern with the long set of jelqing is that I currently use a rubber band around my balls while jelqing (to keep the skin in place). It isn't ultra tight and I don't have any problems with 10 minutes or so. But do you think leaving it on for nearly 30 minutes would be bad?

The rubber band is not optional for me - whenever I try jelqing without it, I grab way too much skin and just can't do it properly. This was actually how I first injured myself as well (by trying to grab the skin with the other hand and accidentally rupturing a small vein).

Clamping is next on my list, but I also know it is pretty high risk, so want to do the ulis for a while longer first.

Wait, are you suggesting to do girth work every day? I'm currently doing 5 days on 2 days off, but my understanding was that girth work can be quite strenuous on the penis and that if anything, you should do less of it.

I will up the reps and times of the ulis though, I'm still fairly new to them so wanted to ease into it.

                I'll push up to 10 x 1 minute exercises.

Low-pressure dry pumping would be safer than clamping, although clamping works too. Get a good thickwall pumping set with a gauge.

According to your signature, you did gain some girth. It is a good start, given that you have been doing it only for 4 months. Better be a slow gainer than feel sorry about an injury later.

My preference is low level pumping, building up times in the cylinder. Not only does it look good, it feels good.
Look into the Pumping Group, in my signature, below.

I'm actually not quite sure what my starting girth is, but I think it probably was only 5.125. I put 5 because sometimes after measuring that was all I would get.

I won't be convinced that I've actually gained any girth until I hit 5.25" consistently.

I'm not too keen on getting a pump - I wouldn't want anyone to find it. A clamp is a bit more inconspicuous, although ideally I would be able to achieve girth gains without resorting to any devices.

I think it gets enough rest - I do leave it completely some days and the workout isn't all that long. I've been getting some action lately, so have been cumming a bit more than usual, but still only about 3-4 times a week. I also took a few days off PE last week just to have a bit more of a break.

As per my post above, I'm not really keen on a pump (or devices in general). I will have a read though and see what I think.

The manual girth routine that seems to have worked for me personally includes base stretching, horse squeezes, and supra slammers (effectively = ulis turning into very slow concentrated jelqs combined with edging to restore/maintain erection). Clamping works too, but should not be abused or be the only girth exercise (i.e., I would not do it more than 1-2 times a week since it fatigues the penis a lot).

3X8 mins of jelqing seems to be too much for me, enough to make your penis tired, which can inhibit the growth progress. At the end, it all depends on how you do your jelqs. If done properly, they are a fantastic manual exercise, which can increase both girth and length.

When you say base stretching, do you mean just the LRSDU stretches or something else?

I'll look into horse squeezes and supra slammers first (before resorting to clamping). Do you have any links to descriptions or videos for those?

Yeah, I'm struggling with the jelqing at the moment - the first 10 minutes or so the EQ is great, but then after that I can't seem to maintain EQ for more than a minute or two without having to stop to edge it back up. I'm thinking I might go back to smaller sets with the ulis inbetween (or something else). I've found it hard to maintain EQ with the ulis at the end as well after doing a long set of jelqs. I think I might be fatiguing my unit too much presently.

My EQ is a bit inconsistent - I've only just started having sex again (and infrequently at that), so it is hard to say as I haven't quite readjusted. But I did have a session the other day with amazing EQ.

The problem I seem to find is that my EQ is not constant during a session however - it peaks and troughs. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. But as soon as stimulation is removed, I'll drop to maybe 6 or 7/10 and then I usually slide back in at that level and get back up to maybe a 9/10. Sometimes, but this is rare, I will have a 9 or 10 EQ and it will pretty much stay that way for most of the session. I want to be able to have this all the time.

I'm not getting enough action to be able to comment at the moment - I'll try to pay more attention to it next time and will try to keep a record as well to see if there are improvements being made there.
