The studies supposedly say 6" BP is average but sorry, I just very skeptical. 6" NBP I believe is plausible though.

Considering how 3 out of 4 american males are overweight or obese, the average fat pad probably lies between 1.5-2". So if 6" NBP is average, then average BPEL is around 7.5-8". So, if you're 8x5.5 then you're in the high average. Well done.

My theory about why 5-5.5 NBPEL is the common average. It is because the 5 inchers did not want to be considered below average so they decided to consider the 6 BPEL as average...And a lot of things are possible with mutual thinking. Say a survey about average size was done with 1000 men of one race/nationality. It is beneficial for EVERY sized guy to put as small a number as possible so the ones that are below average are now closer to the average length, the ones that are above average, are much much bigger than the average...You get my point?

I agree if you said you thought average was 6.5" to 7" BP. Yea I am primarily basing this on anecdotal evidence and seeing flaccids but from what I have seen most have been bigger quite a few significantly bigger than me. Yea I know the spill about flaccid not being a reliable indicator of erect size but I think this can only be carried so far. I have also never had any experience with a woman that would indicate that 6.5 to 7" is anything more than average. This is why I say that guys will believe what they want regardless of the statistics and what answers they get here. I know that I am on the smaller side, but I am not ashamed when I am with a woman. I became more comfortable based only on my sexual experiences. With maybe a couple exceptions to either extreme, women have been very consistent in communicating that I am very close to average size (at 5.5x4.95, with a usual flaccid "hang" of about 2" cause I am normally chilly and turtled), indicating that 6" is average. I rarely date the kind of girls who get with bigger dudes, so bigger dudes are going to have their own subjective evidence to go by. It would be that simple, if not for the fact that insecure guys will always feel the need to be bigger-than-average if they have a sensitive ego (which, let's face it is very common these days). But for what it's worth...

The size obsession is symptomatic of an anxiety-ridden and shallow pop culture that is intimacy-phobic and authenticity-phobic so it's easier to make jokes and pile in on the ever-increasing objectification of ourselves even though the cost of this is to perpetuate a chronically neurotic, somewhat delusional mentality in society which is why more and more people are depressed, violent, medicated, etc. Just sayin'! But, hey, by all means keep tuggin' on it! Just try to remember that some are showers and some are growers, porn is a distorted view of the world, and real people are more complex and sophisticated so it ain't just a matter of outward shapes and sizes.

What I see your point is that some girls don't care. But that does not have anything to do with the average measurements. There's girls that had more 4-5 inchers and there's girls that had more 7-8 inchers so if you decide to count sizes, you cannot claim that 6 is average and 7 is big ol dong because even girls have different opinions on size. Yeah, of course I've thought of that, but it's more the context of the way they have made their comments to me when I can tell if they are expressing themselves with genuine feeling or not. The spontaneity or enthusiasm with which they have made such comments, it's often pretty easy to tell if someone is just trying to be nice or if they are expressing genuine conviction on the matter. This is true whether they are answering my question, or are randomly commenting out-of-the-blue. Also in light of their memories of other guys, in many cases I can tell where they really stand on the issue pretty easily. And it goes both ways, some people will lie very easily just to avoid discomfort and come across sounding guarded. But sometimes I am able to get real with girls and it's actually feels harmless and comfortable talking about her flaws, my flaws, while other girls can't handle any criticism very well as we all know.

It's funny, though. Most guys tend to think that they are smaller in relation to their own ideas of what average is. There is a consistently observed and demonstrated psychological tendency of the human mind to skew to the negative, and dwell on negatives. It seems like there are subtle amounts of fear and paranoia at play in this. So it's not surprising that so many guys think we should be bigger. I'm not saying 7" is rare, just that it's on the bigger side of average. Think about it, many people would call average "small"... but no one would realistically think 7" a short dick. When you reach the point that most people are saying it's not small, it's sure to be bigger than average at that point.

Well, that's important to keep in mind. It's mostly relative. Because the science is sparse, and those would-be stats would still be relatively meaningless in practice, what we are dealing with is actually mostly a matter of opinion. Maybe there is a subset of society where 7" is so common that it's the relative average, but that's still only relatively average. I tend to date very pretty women, but versus the real world they are very different from the variety of shapes and sizes that women come in. Just in terms of asses and breasts alone, there is an enormous spectrum of difference. Likewise, I am sure that there are more small pricks out there than you realize.
