  • Advanced Stretching Effecting EQ?

I was primarily focused on girth for a while, doing alot of jelqing, squeezes, ULI's. That seemed to be going well, gained 1/4" in girth over a few months. I did some light stretching also, but not consistently.

Lately I started adding in quite abit of stretching. Alot of directional pulls, the pop stretches (like stan does), a few tension stretches, 200-300 STS stretches, and recently bundled stretches. Normally 30-40 minutes stretching routines with combinations of the stretches mentioned.

I noticed lately I am having a hard time maintaining a good enough EQ to do my erect girth work.

Was wondering if anyone else has noticed this kind of thing?

I am going to stop stretching for a couple weeks to see if the EQ improves...

If you added a significant amount of stretching to a routine that's already full, then that could easily result in declined EQ.

Are you tracking your training (routine and stats) in detail?

I am not tracking the routine in detail, but I do have a log on this site, and I update it periodically with changes in the routine, and any new gains that have been observed since the last log entry. An yes, I went from doing very minimal stretching, to about 25-40 minutes of intense stretching.

I am having the exact same problem! I do stretches in the afternoon and jelqing at night and have noticed poor jelqing levels. It went fine for about 2 weeks. But, the last week or so have been awful jelqing seshs. I also have an intense stretching routine. I'm thinking of alternating doing certain stretch exercises every other day.

And my PI's have been down lately.

I think it may be the bundled stretches that are throwing me over the top. And it seems like you recently added them to your routine too.

Stevie, exactly, seems that when I started the bundled stretches I started noticing it. But I also upped the overall intensity of my routine at the same time I added the bundled stretches. I am going to stop doing stretching for one week, and only do Jelq, SQueeze, ULI and bathmate, and see how that works out...

Huge jumps like what you described would easily do it. The solution would be to scale down your training- either eliminate the new addition, or omit something else. You might need some rest time to recuperate from the shock of adding such a large amount of new volume.

For best results, you should be logging your routine in detail for your own benefit, along with your EQ (and perhaps other stats like "sexual confidence". Over time, you'll be able to note patterns where you can even predict the result of where you next week's training should take you. This will help you to preempt layoff cycles, and it'll let you know if you're increasing reps & intensity to frequently, not frequently enough, or just right.

Ok sir, good guidance and counsel. I will stop stretchign for 1 week, the slowly start to reincorporate after my EQ is restored, and will closely monitor EQ as I increase the stretching.

OK, it's been 4 days since my last intense stretching session. Today, the EQ has returned, back to an 8-9. Was able to get 50 (5 sec) squeezes in and some jelqing with no problem. Just wanted to report back in case this thread shows up in a search for someone in the future...

Thank you for the detailed update, and it's good to see that your condition has improved.

If you're not already doing so (and as noted above), tracking your EQ each session will give you some detailed feedback to work with.

Big Al, thanks. I have not really been tracking EQ, but I see alot of your comments on here, it seems that EQ is really a critical foundational element to maximizing growth, so I am going to start updating my log more frequently, and including EQ. Thanks for all your help sir!

                        You're welcome- glad to help

In your training cycle, once you note our EQ start to dip it might signal a need for a layoff period.
