Amen to the above post! I know we talk time and time again about the day when PE will be mainstream and openly talking about our penises and workouts over a nice cup of central american coffee will be normal! Like you say, all we need is a few investors...Mexico is not expensive! Yes, it will be "far" but I think it will be a great place for us all to gather (when we can) and actually MEET, put faces with names, talk face to face and MAKE OUR DICKS HUGE...TOGETHER. I think here at the pegym we are developing a remarkable community and remarkable friendships. I take my hate off to Aaron and Big Al for everything they have done for this site, for us and for the nation of PE. We can make this happend, we must "blow" PE up, must spread the word and reach out to our fellow brothers crying out for help. Lets take action...CCCCCHHHAAARRRRGGGEEEEEEE HA HA

Listen, guys.

Instead of talking about it we need to make happen.

We can start on a small scale. We need at least a handful of vets who've made great gains to agree to meet with inexperienced clients, for a fee if they want. Like personal trainers. We can start by making a small database of where these coaches are so the newbs can find them.

Good for the vets because they can make some cash, and good for the rest of us because we can get started off on the right foot from the get-go and we will make progress faster.

Win-win for all.

This is how we start. Then things will grow from there.

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie to PE Gym, but I've been reading your ideas about forming a Real PE Gym and I think it has merit... I believe several obstacles have to be addressed in order for it to catch on.

A major obstacle is convincing men and the public that it is not a gay hangout (VERY IMPORTANT).

The nudity issue is only a slight concern in my opinion - I'm a straight guy and feel completely comfortable being naked around my male friends... we all have the same equipment (more or less), so what's the big deal. Having been to a nude beach, I know that the shyness goes away in a few minutes. I actually felt more uncomfortable being dressed on the nude beach and being stared down by nudists on the beach until I got naked.

I recently read an article about the YMCA (Monkey Brothers Playing: True Masculinity--"Swimming nude was the norm 40 years ago." | Facebook). Back in the 60's, they forced all the male instructors and members to exercise and swim in the nude... many of the men who were members back then, reminisced about how they missed those days and wished they would implement the nudity rule again, they further mentioned, for many, it helped them conquer severe shyness and body issues, having been exposed to other nude men they were reminded they were more alike than different. Throughout Europe nudity among men is accepted and encouraged, why not here?... the strong message has to be “swimming or exercising with other men in the NUDE is not GAY or a prelude to SEX”. I strongly believe that North American society is slowly beginning to accept male nudity, this is evident by the popular stage show of a few years back "Puppetry of the Penis" and movies like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" that openly showcases male nudity in a none sexual way... I think gentlement, the world maybe ready to embrace an all male nude gym (aka - The Real PE Gym).

As I mentioned above, I think this is a really good idea and really believe many men would jump at the opportunity to participate in classes involving PE Gym exercises - learning, growing and sharing successes on a personal level with other men.

Count me in, MY SHORTS ARE OFF!!!

No one has replied to this thread since 2010!... But, I am now. I would be into joining a local "Real PE Gym", if the monthly dues were affordable, and if it wasn't intended to only be for judgemental, "gym-rat" body-perfectionists!... It would have to be a non-snobby, "Shame-Free Zone", with a mission statement that promotes healthy and sane, realistic goals, and making sure it is comfortable for all men, of all sizes and races, for me to want to join it.
