All it needed was some girls from Hooters marching around every so often holding up a sign declaring what round it was. Maybe a wrestling referee in between, all engrossed in "the debate", pointing to one guy or the other and throwing up his fingers to show how many points he got.

Well of course I voted for Cusp he makes more sense talks more policy .

ust been listening to New Z PM Ardern on aussie tv . She goes to the polls with Aussie based NZers voting from today .

She confirmed a NZ /aussie travel bubble was in talks.

When asked on TRump she replied she didn't really know him and her focus was being an advocate for NZ. The presenter said that was an ususally political answer for her . She replied it is called diplomacy .

Saw some ratings numbers for the debate. Comparing the first debate in 2016 to the first debate in 2020, viewership looks to be down from 43 million (2016) across the broadcast networks to 29 million (2020), and about 85 million (2016) across cable networks to 65 million (2020).

Also consider that all polls looking at Likely Voters taken over the past week in the US show less than 6% undecided. While I would love to hear an actual debate on policy issues, these debates seem to be less relevant than ever.

It's an odd election cycle over here, to say the least.

I turned it off the level of actual debate was so low . Seemed to consist of personal insults rather than policy .

Pretty much how American campaigning works. People would rathe see the candidates talk shit about each other than how each candidate can do what's best for our country. We are all so addicted to drama.

Nope, sorry champ not just yet. Right now all news and podcasts seem to be about either the US election or covid. After the election I'm hoping there's a new topic rather than news and podcasts being only about covid, all the time. I guess in Britain they'll be talking more and more about Brexit too, but that's not really any better.
