  • Erectile Dysfunction

A very serious problem for us men as those that suffer from it know all to well. The incidence of ed has risen through the years and there are many factors that contribute to it.I read the ed threads and at times I am amazed how prevalent it is becoming. Some of the diagnosis of ed is real i.e. done by medical personel. Some I believe is self diagnoses as some of us guys have problems in that department and due to a variety of reasons, particularly an issue as sensitive as this, don't go to a doctor but rather diagnose ourselves. I'm just wondering, if you suffer from ed, who diagnosed you?

It was recognized by my physician two years ago, but I’ve had it for a total of six years.

Has it improved at all as you have continued with pe? Did you go for further test to see what the problem was or did he just give you pills?

Yes! My EQ has improved since I’ve started PE. Two years ago my physician prescribed Levritra. It didn’t work. Since then, I’ve begun PE (March 2010), and at first it helped the Levitra work very well. Now it only provides a partial erection (CC not the CS or glans). Recently my physician has prescribed an Osbon Erecaid vacuum pump for exercise and sex which provides a full erection. The combination of Levitra/pump and of course PE, I’m able to achieve and maintain an erection.

I’m part of the Veterans Administration and they have a sequence of events that must be satisfied before an appointment is made to see a Urologist for ED (meds, time, pump. . . etc). I don’t think I’ll hear anything different though; I trust an appointment will be made before the end of the year.

I want to know the cause of my ED and why it happened so suddenly. Since I’ve been studying about the many theories behind ED I suspect I have a venous leak. Until I actually hear it confirmed by the Urologist I can only guess. Hopefully, there will be a series of examinations to confirm any speculation on my part.

(appointment with/Urologist has been made for 11/16/10, woo-hoo!)

I have had ED for over ten years as a consequence of diabetes and occasionally require 100 mgs of Viagra to have a usable errection. When I retired 3 years ago, I visited the VA hospital to see if I could save on my prescription drugs. The VA did not support Viagra, but the VA doc prescribed two 25 mg of Lavitra and a pill cutter to cover me for 30 days. LOL My private prescription plan allows 18 100mg Viagra pills every 75 days. Now that I do PE, I usually cut them in half and I still run short before the 75 days are up.

As I mentioned, I have diabetes (17 years) and knew that when my EQ began to fade 10 years ago, that the elevated blood sugar and resulting nueropothy was beginning to take its toll. Thanks to Viagra, the pump, the extender, and PE exercises, I have more sex today than I did 10 years ago.

This is very motivating to hear. Sometimes a combination of things is what it takes. PE seems to be the MAJOR factor for both of us.

Thanks guys for voting. I know if you suffer from ed you may not want to write on this thread but if you just vote that will be great! Thanks again.
