Well, I'll give you my perspective.

Tyson in his absolute prime was a wrecking machine. His only losses in his whole career were men who physically stood up to him and beat him. They were all in better condition. Douglas may have taken him by surprise, Holyfield may have headbutted, and Lewis may have fought Tyson out of his prime, but each stood their ground and won inside. That said... Tyson's defense was underrated...in his prime he was not hit and slipped the jab like no other. His peek-a-boo style was perfected and to this day he set the mark for how to box in that manner. His punching power was actually secondary to his defense, though you'd never believe it from the highlights.

Ali won more meaningful matches against better opponents over a longer time period. His boxing style was not as flashy, which is why he tried to make up for it with out of the ring antics and things like the "ali shuffle." When it comes down to it, though, he adapted to his opponents advantages. He wore down the power punchers and danced around the inside boxers while landing the jab. He had underrated punching power. We may have missed his best years as he served his prison term. The same could be said for Tyson...

I see Ali not being intimidated by Tyson and game planning accordingly. Tyson wins the early rounds but is frustrated and tires. Ali by late KO or decision, an odd combo of Ali vs. Foreman and Tyson vs. Douglas.

Ali wins easy; just too big and too strong for the midget.

Tyson has some distinct advantages over some of ALis former opponents. Strong as foreman and much faster with better defense. In his prime ( Cus Demato ) Tyson may have been the best ever. I still think no one beats Ali in a rematch, that is where the smarts come in. Ali was the smartest man to ever box. He could be beat but not two times by the same man, unless of course you consider that Kenny Norton may have got hosed on his rematch, he did look pretty good for most of the fight. I have watched that one a few times and I must say he should be pissed off.

I have been lucky enough to stand next to both men. If Tyson is all of 5' 10' then his standing on his toes. Yes he is broad but not big enough. Ali not only was tall but you would be amazed how big he was in real life. He was as broad as Tyson. There is no way a smaller man beats Ali. George Forman in his prime would have knocked Tyson to never never land. Just go ask Joe Frazier. Now that would have been a fight, Frazier and Tyson but I give the nod to Frazier.

better go back to the rum. Cusp 82 , he was small in height but was a monster joe frazier beat him. And he couldent come close to beating mike tyson in his prime.Ali also had probleme with shorter guys. That would have been a scary fight. But my money is on Ali. I think.

Don't follow, and have never followed, boxing but based on their respective reputations and well known-traits I would put Ali as the winner

                  Agility and speed vs. power

Surely Ali's speed and agility, coupled with his long jab (because of his long arms) would beat the raw power of Tyson over a long fight, presuming it went the distance.

But honestly I don't really know what i'm talking about

Padawan 787 you could be right on target... but TYSON in his prime and with his head on right before he metRobin Givens and that is a lot to say I no, He had a verry good chance, he also was verry harde to hit with his bobbin and weaven and that power he had. Boy I would have liked to see that fight.
