Pelvic Floor Therapy Solution?

I don’t edge. Sex has been almost nonexistent lately given that my wife is in a very naseous stage of pregnancy. Given that, I don’t think I would expect a great improvement in sex at this point. I’ve had a tense/weak pelvic floor for at least a couple of decades so it will take a while to see gains in control. Also, since the therapist wants to deal with the tenseness issue first, I still have a very weak pelvic floor. My kegel contractions aren’t very strong yet nor can I hold them for very long.Originally posted by taudau1 View PostDoes the reduce in tense helped you to edge longer or have sex longer? Since the tenseness is decreasing now I expect to start working on strengthening my pelvic floor in the coming weeks and then hope to start seeing some improvement.
I have to keep in mind that this problem has existed for a very long time and so it will take a while to repair the damage done.

Thanks for posting these updates. This is something that i May have to consider. I feel as if my pelvic floor is way off balance and that i May need some professional help to make sure I’m taking the right steps to correct this. I don’t want to be doing kegels or RK which i May not be doing correctly or efficiently

Sorry for my absence. I really appreciate all of the interest in this thread.
I've been gone for awhile, unfortunately, because not much new has happened. As I stated before my wife was pregnant, and in the last month or two of the pregnancy she was not at all interested in sex. We had it very randomly and so not able to draw any conclusions. Our 3rd was born in late October so we still have not resumed having sex, though hopefully in the next week or so. All of that being said, since I wasn't able to report back any results to my therapist, she said I should take a break from our sessions. However, as of the last session, probably 2-3 months ago the tension in my pelvic floor was virtually gone. Though the pelvic floor was a bit weak. Due to exhaustion and laziness over the past couple of months I haven't done any exercises. I need to get back into that routine. Also, the therapist said the one other guy who she treated for a tense pelvic floor who had pe, didn't see really improved results until she sent him to an acupuncturist. Maybe, he needed the combination of the two for better results; and since I have lower back issues, I may see the acupuncturist she recommends. On top of all of this, just yesterday, after lots of perusing in the forum, I decided to start taking magnesium chloride flakes. I have some of the same symptoms, and there are those few studies with good feedback, I thought I would give it a shot.
At the very least, my pelvic floor feels so much better, and my involuntary tensing is severely reduced; I still check myself on that a lot. After my wife and I resume, which may not be too frequent (we have 3 kids four and under, so we are both always exhausted), I see if there are results from the Mg, and I visit the acupuncturist, I will report back how I am doing.
But, please in the meantime, ask me any questions that you have.

I know it's been a while since the last post, but I'm curious about a few things (because I relate to so much of your experience).
1) You mentioned that your therapist had said your pelvic floor was weak and tense. I suspect this is my condition too. I'm curious to know if there is a connection between the condition of the pelvic floor and whether one shoots or dribbles cum when one ejaculates. If you don't mind me asking, do you shoot or does it just flow out? Also, has this always been the case or has it changed along with the state of your pelvic floor? My suspicion is that people with weak and tense pelvic floors don't shoot, or if the cum does shoot out slightly, it doesn't travel very far, like an inch or two maybe. That's me, by the way.
2) I have looked through some of your more recent posts regarding PreE in other threads and you report that your PreE is much the same even though your pelvic floor seems to be more relaxed generally. (Sorry for being creepy, but I'm really invested in your progress because of how much I stand to learn and improve from it! haha.) You mentioned putting therapy on hold. I'm wondering if you ever went back? Also, I'm wondering if you subsequently ever continued with the internal massage and if you didn't, whether you think that on hindsight it would have been beneficial after all?
3) Did you ever get to the strengthening stage of pelvic floor therapy? Or even if you didn't continue with the same therapist, has strengthening been part of your PreE regimen since? If so, did you use kegels or some other form of strengthening perhaps?
Sorry for all the question! I have been doing reverse kegels and various stretches for quite some time already with modest success, but I still feel I'm missing something, which is why I'm asking all these questions. Have just added in some internal massage with a stainless steel toy, the njoy pure wand. We'll see if that helps!
Thank you!

I have been to some therapist.. sadly most of them are specialized in women and I have found they give some conflicting information.
Some say it's not possible to isolate or stretch parts of the pelvic floor separately..
Some others say the difference between front/ back muscles it's actually internal/ external muscles, which are triggered depending on the difference intensity of the stretch.
Does anyone has experience with a certified therapist which confirms the forum information about stretches and different areas of the PF?
