  • Dreams of PE

I am currently doing a log to combat my PE

    https://www.pegym.com/forums/premature-ejaculation-forum/133904-confused-my-pe-log.html

but have come across something a bit worrying the last week.

I have during the past week been dreaming of sex when asleep and the dreams are vivid, the worrying thing is that in my dreams I only last a few strokes just like real life.
The thing is that I believe my PE is more mental than physical, suffer no IKs.
The thing I am worrying about is that if I am dreaming about it then it is more entrenched in my mental mind than I realised.

I have not edged for a week and had sex for 3 weeks so hopefully this maybe a contributing factor but I am scared that my PE maybe really hard to improve!

Ive had PE all me life from bad habits. I always came in few seconds in my dreams too. Even at a touch. I don’t think it’s mental. Just super tight constant BC.

OK the mental side is defo their but not the sole answer.

Dreams are what they are. They are sometimes relevant to your current stresses and sometimes completely random.

Have you ever been so stressed at work that you go home and dream about work? Same thing. You are stressed worried and thinking about your PreE and therefore you dream about it.

From my experience dreams are a mix of your memories and emotions from the last days mangled in a free form improvisation about it created by your brain. Something like a "first thing that pops into your brain" association game but wilder because the "logic" parts of your brain are asleep.

Added to this the brain is deprived of much outside stimuli so will latch on to anything and try to build some plausible explanation, but in the dream reality so it's usually just plain stupid

For example when I was little I had a reoccurring dream of trying to run away from "bad people" but my legs kept failing me like I was running through mud. This was probably influenced by me being small and maybe not feeling secure enough.

But one time when i was "running away" I was also half asleep so I could see what was happening in the real world also. And I found out that I was trying to move my legs while sleeping on my stomach. Of course I couldn't "run" because the mattress was in the way and it was exactly the same feeling I had in my dreams.

I think what was happening was that my brain was improvising a dream which turned sour so my legs kicked in to try to move but were for some reason restricted. So the brain tries to story out some explanation not knowing why this happens and puts in the "bad people" that I can't run away from because my legs are failing and they are going to catch me.

As a bonus after that realization I never had that dream again

        So to your point:
You are working on Pre-E because you want to change it so it's on your mind. Also probably because of all the attention to your penis there is more need for sex. So your brain is improvising a dream on it. Now add to it that you get an erection during it in real life. Your brain gets some outside feeling of probably tense PF, maybe even you are sleeping on your stomach so also some compression of the penis. So the only "logical" explanation it can build around it is that you're having sex and because of the tension it also concludes that it's gonna be Pre-E.

And depending on how you feel about your Pre-E the sex dream will be a nice one or a more bizarre and shameful one you wouldn't want to talk about

So no, it's not some prophecy, and it's not mentally ingraining Pre-E in your brain. It's just random dreams with added outside stimulus interpreted as sex + Pre-E by your brain.

I also had such dreams so don't worry. Interestingly after some time working on Pre-E I stopped having Pre-E in my dreams Also sometimes had a "wet dream" without ejaculating, so that was cool. But after some time I stopped having such dream all together, sadly. Thankfully I can make up for it with real sex

All of the worrying is only going to compound the issue. Learn to relax, and do your best to induce positive emotional visualizations during training and meditation sessions.
