  • An Interestng Kegel Routine

Some of you may even practice this particular technique, but I figured I'd post to get some feedback. Quite simple really: do 10 to 15 quick kegels then hold the last one as you count backwards from your ending number. For instance, do 10 quick kegels then hold the 10th as you count back down to 1, little to no rest between reps, less than 30 seconds rest between sets. I'm no master kegeler, but if you can do 2 sets of 10 with ease, I'll be impressed.

Hmm I THINK the general consensus is that you should take some rest days with kegels since you are actually exercising a muscle, but I am no master kegeler either. However that sounds like a good amount to do, say, every other day. And remember that you do not need to kegel during your PE workout, or even on days when you PE. You can do it any time - in the car, the shower, before bed, etc.

Gettingthere - are you saying that the first kegel should be held for one second, the second kegel for 2 seconds, up to the 10th kegel for ten seconds?

heck no! LOL! U wouldn't make it thru one set at that rate! But that does sound like a challenging routine ...

In my example, do 9 quick kegels (1 second) then on the 10th, hold it for 10 seconds. Doing 10 reps of these is one set (100).

I can get to the 3rd rep of my second set before I have to stop.

I tried a couple of these today. I like the concept of combining the different holds in one workout. I misunderstood your meaning as well. I thought that one set was all you were after. I did two and could tell they would get progressively harder. I will try more next time.
