  • Edging Help

For the past while that I've been trying to learn how to edge for long periods of time I've noticed a few things about how my body reacts to stimulation. For example, my BC muscle will seem very clenched/tight if I touch it with my free hand while stroking with the other. And also (lately) I have had trouble holding back orgasm because it feels like my BC muscle tightens up and pushes me to the PONR very quickly.

Is it normal for the BC muscle to feel tight/slightly tight while edging? Or should it only be getting progressively tighter as stimulation progresses. In my case its almost at the point that I can feel and even see the contractions of the muscle as it makes my penis twitch a bit. Sometimes this does not even require any further stimulation.

I'm just a bit confused about how my BC muscle should "behave" while edging. Also, when I orgasm it does not feel like my BC muscle is completely flexing and releasing with each wave.

I feel like the muscle should stay mostly relaxed during stimulation until close to the PONR where it will begin to tense up. And then during orgasm it will release, tense up again, release, tense up again, etc.
My process is more like this:
Erection, BC muscle tightens a bit, Stays tight and tightens a bit more with stimulation, some unconscious (and sometimes un-stimulated) kegels. And then during orgasm it just feels like the semen kinda oozes with my muscle tense and kinda just "squeezing" it out, rather than being squirted out with the BC muscle spasms...

I dunno, I'm sorry about the poorly formatted post. I kinda repeated myself a lot. It is late and I'm a bit tired but wanted to post this before I fell asleep.

Can someone who is experienced with edging please reply with some kind of detail about how their BC muscle reacts to edging? Thanks

This is a common problem Wazza, here is a thread about it and how to deal with it.

This is a combination of habit and reflex. Generally while edging your pelvic floor muscles should be relaxed (not forcibly inflated like while doing a reverse kegel, just hanging there and soft on touch, generally not to soft and not to hard, like when you are holding a low intensity reverse kegel).

The muscles should not flex while edging at least not allot since that is one of the things that drives you towards ponr, this is a reflex part of your problem and it is remedied with either a low intensity reverse kegel or turning a unconscious kegel into a conscious kegel hold (or even better the mix of both since some work better than other depending on where you are on the eq and arousal scale).

If you feel that your muscle is not releasing and flexing it is probably because of the things noted above, devise for yourself a kegel and reverse kegel routine (on the specifics i can't help you I can only point you to the master list in my signature, since i have not devised a good workout routine for this.)
The habit part of your problem is that in the past you probably held a continuous kegel hold in order to drive yourself faster to ponr, this can be remedied by relaxing your pelvic floor muscles either by reverse kegels and later on by just relaxing them (the reverse kegels training is actually this, learing how to relax not forcibly inflate those muscles, but it begins as that since it is easier to learn).

As for the oozing there are two opposite side reasons for this. One your kegels are to thiten up locked other is (what i am curentlly experiencing probably) that your muscles are to relaxed and that your kegel strength isn't high enough. You probably have the first one.

Here is one exercise that might help you. First do a kegel (a mid to strong one) then do a reverse kegel (a mid to strong one) then repeat. This will help you in several ways. One of the way is that it will train your body to undersand the distinction between a reverse kegel and kegel. Other is that it can be modified (after a certain time) to teach you how to do reverse kegels properly by lowering the intensity of a sarting kegel to where it is almost none (a tiny flex) while keeping your reverse kegel at the same strength.

Try doing them for a weak or a month lets say 50 reps (one rep is a kegel hold then a reverse kegel hold) twice a day, and if you get changes for the better you are on the right road, if you don't at least you are learning how to do reverse kegels, so it is a sort of win-win.

Thanks guys! I actually woke up this morning with morning wood (which is amazing because I had just recently got past a slight HF problem). My hard flaccid has completely dissappeared and did not return after edging last night. This is completely off topic but the way I got rid of my HF was actually through stretching! I would do reverse kegels as well as other yoga stretches for the pelvic muscles (one in which you are seated with legs bent outwards, bottom of both feet touching each other, almost like a butterfly ahaha). Doing these stretches over the past 5/6 days have defeated my hard flaccid, I guess because of the increased blood flow, and because of this I have established that the cause of my hard flaccid was primarily a tense pelvic floor.

        But anyways!
The edging this morning went great. I would perform a 2/3 second reverse kegel hold every 5 or so seconds and did not try to hold back at PONR because I wanted to avoid tensing my PC muscles at all... I just wanted a nice relaxing orgasm. When I came my BC muscles felt like they were spasming MUCH better (actually switching between tensed and released). The orgasm felt like an actual RELIEF instead of just being a release of semen leaving me with a tense BC muscle. Overall, it was amazing hahaha.

Minuteman, I really love your idea of working the Kegels and Reverse Kegels back to back. That should work well.
And I have skimmed over the implications thread, but I will read it again when I get the chance.

        Thanks again guys!
