  • Stop/start negative effect?

First of all I don't suffer from serious PreE. I usually last around 10 mins of penetration but always wanted more control.

Recently I thought about how I masturbate and how it may effect my endurance. I can masturbate for as long as I want without ejaculating by stopping before the PONR. However, I stop frequently, whether to delay ejaculation or to find new porn to watch.

But when it comes to sex I don't want to stop all the time. Especially when she is on top and I can't always stop or change the rhythm. I think my penis isn't used to constant stimulation because of how I stop/start when I masturbate. Therefore when I have sex I'm "over" stimulated and I orgasm quickly.

So I'm going to try and change my masturbation technique by constantly stroking and sticking to one video rather than flicking between many. I'm also going to use lube more often for the increased stimulation.

Has anything like this been discussed? Any thoughts?

    growinglad,

    A couple of observations.

It has been discussed here that the purpose of watching porn while mastrubating is to increase your arousal level. Not recommended for the folks here with premature ejaculation issues as they are working on gaining better control of their arousal level. If it works for you, that's fine.

The suggestion you make to use lube more often is recommended because it more closely resembles the real thing.

As for getting accustomed to increased stimulation you might want to give ballooning a try. It's great for building stamina while staying in a lower arousal zone and not ejaculating.

When having sex you can slow down and check in with your breathing rate. If you find that you are breathing rapidly you can take longer deep abdominal breaths as a way of relaxing with the stimulation and not going over the top.

Finally, you didn't mention kegels. If you are getting an involuntary kegel during sex you may want to look into reverse kegels as a means of remaining in control when you are nearing PONR.

See the thread below on reverse kegels if you haven't already read through it:
