  • Confused about Kegels

Hey guys. I read about the PE-problem and how to cure it because I suffer PE.
Im confused about the whole Kegel-thing.
So I was able to hold my kegel for 10 seconds just from the beginning, I also know how to do a reverse kegel.
    Now I read this thread : https://www.pegym.com/forums/prematu...se-kegels.html
there is mentioned that there is a front reverse kegel and a back reverse kegel. That means there must be a back kegel and a front kegel too right?
But I only practice holding the kegel I use to "stop urinating" for 10 - 30 seconds.
So how many kegels there are?
    Actual stats

Four. There are 2 regular kegels (front and back) and 2 reverse kegels (front and back)
You can also do kegels as a group but reverse kegels are better done in isolation in my opinion.

Thank you. When I do the "stop urinating" kegel, is that a frontkegel or a backkegel?
      Are normal kegels always isolated?

When you stop urinating that's a front kegel. A back kegel is the same contraction you do when you hold in a fart.
You can also do front and back kegels at the same time as a group.

You might find the pictures in these links useful for visualising what muscles you're working.

The PC muscles runs along your perineum.
The IC muscles run just to the outside of the PC muscles and more towards the back.
The BC muscle wraps around the bulb of the penis (the inner part of the penis)

When you do a regular front kegel you contract your BC muscle and the front portion of the PC muscle will also engage because there connected.
When you do a front reverse kegel you're wanting to stretch the BC muscle and when you do that you will also stretch the front portion of the PC muscle because there connected.

Here's a link showing the location of those muscles in both men and women.

And here's a picture highlighting the BC muscle on a man.

Most guys when they first do kegels do them as a group and then learn isolation over time.

Okay thank you. But I have another question: I read that there is no reverse kegel, It's just relaxing this area. Is this true?
Im trying to start a kegel / reverse kegel routine and try to resist the urge to kegel during masturbation / sex. So I want to train the regular kegel while not stimulating my penis because I experienced I cum much faster while kegeling during sex. I have a hard time fighting these unvoluntary kegels during masturbation and especially sex and I'm worried that my regular kegel routine will worsen this problem.

Thinking of the rk as a relaxation leads to difficulty performing it for most people. The best comparison is a stretch but even that as less than perfect . if you think of it as an active force you will be best able to train it.

I can think of it as an active force but for me it just feels like relaxing.
