  • Unable to hold erect kegels-Help please!!

    Hello,

Been doing towel raises and erect kegels for a week now.I find i have enough power to " Pulse ", ie, lift a hand towel quite forcefully but not hold it at the highest point. Also, when doing just erect kegels, i can get my dick to rise up quite close to my belly but am not able to hold it in the air. What is the problem? Is there some imbalance? Or is there some method to holding a kegel?

    Thanks

Why jump into advance kegels when you should start off doing them flaccid and work up being about to hold it a good amount of time before doing erect ones?

No imbalance, your muscles just aren't conditioned enough to hold it. The stronger your muscles become the longer you'll be able to hold a kegel.

Remember not to over do it, your muscles need rest and include reverse kegels in your routine to maintain balance.

Well Steve i had been kegeling before, flaccid kegels like 50 at a time for 15-20 sets a day.Figured i should move up.

Mac-Thanks.I trust with time i will be able to stop involving my abs as well?

With more condition you will be able to hold.
Strength should be developed progressively ,so train within your ability to recover.
          Isolation takes time to develop.
Reverse kegels should be included and if you are doing towel raise I recommend reverse towel raise.

Don't only do "explosive" kegels, try and do some slow, progressive lifts as well where you slowly raise the towel, pause, and descend slowly. This removes momentum, and will result in more control, faster conditioning, and stronger PC muscles.
