  • My doubts about curing premature ejaculation

    Hi everyone. I suffer from premature ejaculation for more than one year and I have already started to do kegel exercises some time ago. However until know I have only read about regular Kegel exercises and have practiced only them. I have some questions about how should I train my pelvic muscles correctly. I read some topics on this forum and the website but it's so much information that Im getting a little bit confused, also I dont have hours to spend them reading.

    - If I have done only normal Kegel (clenching), should I focus more on reverse Kegels now, or should I do both of them at the same rate?

    - While masturbating/having sex my problem is that my Kegel muscles contracts pretty early, without my control of them. Is the problem related to lack of reverse Kegel training? Ofc I'd like to control the contraction of my muscles cause I think it would solve my problem.

    - To successfully cure premE, do I have to train both front and back pelvic muscles, or are regular and reverse front Kegels enough?

    - How long should each session take? Normally it takes me 10 to 15 minutes to train, is it enough? Actually I wouldn't like to spend 1 hour everyday training cause it's too much time

    -Should I train kegels every day? For the moment I have been doing so I've never felt pain in those muscles (not like in other muscles when I train them), only sometimes in the morning I feel like the muscles are weaker but then in midday they're OK

    - While edging, should I do it with porn? I have been doing it like this without great results, also I've been watching porn for many years and I think that maybe my problem comes from it. If not, what king of edging technique would be the best, just use my imagination?

    - When edging I tried to stop the ejaculation by clenching my Kegels but its impossible for me, I just ejaculate "inside me". I'm aware that it's not healthy. Does it mean I need more strenght in kegel muscles (actually I can clench kegels for pretty much time, I'm able to reach 60 secs), or is the timing bad? Or maybe both factors affect? I'm just starting to read the guide to MMO hope it'll help me.

    - Also another thing I'm curious about is that everyone says that you can do kegels anytime and everywhere. Actually I have to concentrate pretty much while exercising them and sometimes I find it pretty difficult to do them as I get distracted (especially in the mid-day sessions). How can you train them while doing another things? for me its impossible i have to really concentrate on the training cuz if not I wont do the exercises properly.

    I think thats all my questions, hopefully someone can help me with my doubts.

      Do you really doubt if you can cure your pe? If you do then you will never have a cure. Now with all the information on here that you say you don't have time to read then how will you get your cure? Without spending the time reading and learning what good would a condensed version actually be. By the way how old are you?

        The reason most people don't want to help you is because you are not willing to devote enough time for this problem and read the materials you have here. I mean at worst it would take you 3-4 hours on in-depth reading to know all the answers to your questions, and it is not like there are no sticky topics here to point you in the right direction.

        So if you are not really willing to help yourself why should I waste my time to help you when I can focus on helping a person who actually read the info here. Nobody here is actually paid (as far as I know) to help anybody so if you want something here you should approach this more seriously because it is a serious problems you start to notice.

        However I can understand being lost in the sea of information (I know I was) just next time be more understanding about it if you want to be understood (think about for a moment just how much time was spent in creating some of those guides, many people here didn't have to and didn't have the time to create them so they made time and did).         Focusing at the questions at hand here are my answers:

        Q: If I have done only normal Kegel (clenching), should I focus more on reverse Kegels now, or should I do both of them at the same rate?

        A: You should focus on balancing the pelivc floor with the combination of kegels and reverse kegels. Clenches are effective until a point then you should actually focus on kegel holds since the clenches might just add the bad habbit of continually clenching the pelvic floor. For an example pelvic floor routine check the dry orgasm pelvic floor routine levels 0,1,2 (hint: you can find the link in the premE FAQ).

        A: As with many problems in premature ejaculation this is also a multi-layred problem. First of all you have an actual bad habit developed where you contract those muscles at all (so pretty early or pretty late are mostly bad ). In the ideal situation your muscles should contract only when you are actually near the PONR or ejaculating. This is a problem most people with premature ejaculation have and once of the way of fixing it isa good pelvic floor routine. Also you can try and conciously elimitate those contactions, by turning every contraction into a 1-3 sec kegel hold, or reverse kegel hold, this is of course a short term plan. Here we call them involunatry kegels. Getting used to long edging sessions in also one way you can lessen this part of the problem.

        A: I would recommend all four but people seem to do fine enough with just focusing on kegel and reverse kegel so it is up to you.

        A: It is hard to determine a fixed time for this because it depends on the exercises included etc.

        Q: The exercises you do are not that heavy duty so you should not have much problems. However always listent to your body If you feel too much soreness then skip a day in time you should be able to create your own rhythm for this.

        A: - You basically answered your own question. Another option is to use porn for the initial "spark" (to get yourself horny but do not masturbate/edge) and then turn off the porn and do your edging session.

        A: Read the DO guide in full it should give you the answers. Here is the very short version. You lack strength, technique and timing.

        A: The more exercises you do and the more different exercises you do you will eventually become better in performing them. However, I generally don't like doing pelvic floor exercises everywhere. Since it is important to actually pay close attention to what you are doing and how you are doing it in order to get the most out of it.

        In conclusion if you don't want to waste at least two more years fixing this problem I suggest that you get your priorities (whatever they might be) strait and focus on fixing this. Or leave it for when you have the time.

          Thanks Minuteman that was really helpful. I have read your FAQ, but still many of the answers you give there sounds pretty general, I wanted to make sure if I should it the same way. I know that asking all this things instead of looking myself for the information may be pretty arrogant, but believe me I have already spent many days searching internet and for the moment all I found was not enough (e.g. I've never seen on internet the reverse Kegels, thing that sounds very strange to me). I've also start reading your DO guide but still not finished it. I really spent much time on that topic already, if I could do it now, I would do but it's pretty complicated right now, and I suppose you all can imagine that anyone with PE wants to get rid of the problem. I think the best way to understand any kind of information in the life is asking, that's what I've learned in school and university and what helps me understand the world. Answering @CUSP82 question, I'm 20, and I don't doubt to cure PE, I just doubt the way I was doing it.

          So thanks another time, at least for now I'll be able to have my routine and I hope for some results, and for sure I'll come to the forum for more info when I'll need it.

            Being 20 years old you have plenty of time to tackle the problem and it is suggested to do it as soon as possible. Whatever you chose to do stick to it for a while because whatever method you use you will need at least 3 months of dedication to see lasting improvements. Good luck.

              Yes I know I need months, and I have time to train, however now I'm doing a very busy internship. I've been already training normal Kegels for some months. Thanks for help another time, I'll keep checking this forum for sure.

                Just a couple of additions to the answers so far. I would suggest an hour a day of kegels is not necessary at all. Especially if you are not sure you're doing them correctly. If you have that much time to devote, then mix it up with other exercises.

                And as for doing kegels anywhere, the best place I find outside of the privacy of my home is while sitting on public transport or at my desk at work. I just do a couple of minutes here and there. I also enjoyed playing the kegeling between stations game on the metro or train. It makes it more interesting and so more likely I'd keep it up.
