  • delay spray works - does this mean the key is desensitizing?

So delay sprays that contain 10% lidocaine work for me - usually I last around 60 seconds before needing to cum.

With a lidocaine based delay spray (2 sprays on the underside of the glans and 1 spray on top of the glans) I can last between 7 and 12 minutes before needing to ejaculate.

Interestingly - even if I watch porn and thrust really hard I can go for at least 7 minutes.

Doesn't that mean we are onto something? In the sense that premature ejaculation isn't as much mental as it is physical?

I don't want to have to rely on sprays though and want to be able to last longer naturally.

With this knowledge in mind, does this mean that the key for me lasting longer would be somehow desensitizing my glans? I've obviously read James Monroe's rubbing the sweet spot thread but has anyone else experienced strong desensitization by doing that long term?

Also, useful to note, when I use a delay spray - I have far fewer involuntary kegels - usually without it I have an involuntary kegel with every thrust. So that for me re-affirms that reverse kegels would be a key in tackling premature ejaculation naturally.

What spray is best for you? Might end up trying this out for short term?

I've used Super Dragon 6000 and Boots Premjact - both have 9.6% lidocaine. Both the ones I've mentioned work similarly for me (the boots one is a lot more runny though so I prefer the super dragon one). The effect is DEFINITELY noticeable in the sense that the head of my penis feels quite numb. I don't spray it on my shaft though so sex is still really pleasurable. They take about 20 minutes to take effect for me.

I've used China Brush too but I couldn't seem to get the dosage right - too little and it didn't do anything. Too much and I couldn't get an erection no matter how hard I tried. Too much of the lidocaine sprays also lead to erection problems though so the sweet spot for me was 2 sprays under the glans and 1 spot on top of the head.

I've not used Stud 100 but i'm surprised it didn't do much for you considering the active ingredient is the same (lidocaine).

I don't want this to sound like a promotion for delay sprays though. Does anyone have any input on naturally desensitizing the head? Both through physical (rubbing the sweet spot) or any bizarre methods too? (perhaps nutritional supplements or applying something to the head long term so that during sex you don't have to pull out a spray?)

Both mental and physical things are involved in ejaculation process. The medical science now a days says both physical and mental things are driven by chemicals in the body. If you don't exercise regularly, the excitory chemicals pileup in the body making the nerves overactive and oversensitive to the extent that inflammation happens in the pelvic floor muscles including prostate and these start flexing involuntarily even with little stimulation. The key is to reduce these excitory chemicals through exercising regularly and working out your muscles. Once you balance the excitory chemicals with inhibitory chemicals, you will be less sensitive and start lasting long. As per my experience, ginger powder helps in reducing the inflammation to some extent and it reduces the involuntary flexes.

Rubbing the sensitive spots when erect makes you able to bear pleasure without causing ejaculation. If you do it for few weeks, you become used to the excitement and it makes you last long. But the key is rubbing in a way that it does not causes involuntary flex. This will break the habit of flexing the muscles involuntarily. Similarly, while edging, doing a reverse kegal after each or every few strokes, breaks your habit of tightening pelvic floor muscles unconsciously and makes you last long.

Delay spray will not change your chemistry or habits. It is a temporary solution for reducing the pleasure you get.

Thanks for your response sameel! Quick question, when you say exercise regularly - are you referring to general exercise (gym, weight lifting, cardio) or do you mean specifically exercising the pelvic floor?

I'm going to make a commitment to rubbing the sensitive spots whilst erect for the next 4 weeks. How long do you rub for?

Btw, your posts and watching your long term progression has been a huge inspiration for me.

I am referring to general exercises, including the exercises which affect the pelvic floor muscles, legs, thighs and the back muscles ...
You can rub the sensitive spots for hours while keeping you erect. Speedup when the arousal becomes lower and very slow when arousal is near PONR. Keep your pelvic floor relaxed throughout the session. This conscious effort will make your body to keep the pelvic floor relaxed while receiving stimulation. Ultimately result is that you will be able to keep the muscles relaxed even with higher levels of stimulation.

You know its funny when I started using stud 100 spray when I was sexual active, I wasn't doing regular exercises at all only doing kegels, but now since i'm not that sexual active I been exercising regularly, doing 5 second kegel holds and reverse kegels. I dont want to depend on a spray forever. I'll try your technique for a few weeks and then call up a chic to see how it goes.

For some guys yes, it is more physical than mental. In which case delay products can help enormously. It's not new news and many guys rely on these kind of products instead of bothering with the training techniques. Especially if they are ultra sensitive. You just don't hear much from those guys in forums like this because they found something which works for them and they don't feel a need to get further advice.

The only new news is that the delay products are slowly getting better. It used to be that pretty much all of them had the same problem of over-numbing, transference to your partner, killing erections etc. But obviously the manufacturers know that finding a spray/cream/gel that doesn't do this would be an absolute gold mine, so new products are being created every year. That's one reason Promescent has been getting such good headlines because they claim it doesn't have these side effects as much as others do (if you're interested here is a sensible promescent review). And there is also PSD502 which is a further work in progress.

My advice is if it works for you, then why not use it from time to time for a confidence boost and some 'normal' sex. But don't abandon the long-term training or you could end up spending a lot of money over your lifetime, to name just one issue...

Guys I have a update. Since I still had my stud 100 spray, I decided to try it one more time and see if it works on one chic. I had I known her for awhile and she is always open for sex lol (horny girl). So we decided to meet up at her house and have fun. I decided to spray 3 times under the head and 1 time on the top of the head of the penis and wait about 30 minutes. Since its been awhile since I used this product, I felt a slight burn on the underside of frenulum first few minutes after applying the product. I also been training constantly with kegels/Reverse kegels, and exercise doing just pushups, pull ups, body weight lounges, jogging, etc.

When I arrived to her house my penis was numb and it was kinda difficult to get a erection. After a few minutes of foreplay, I finally got hard. Prior to starting to have sex, I would normally ejaculate as soon as I put it in, but since my penis was numb I was having normal sex again (Good feeling). I last 10x more then I did in the past it was great. Only thing is getting close to the end of sex my penis was getting soft and difficult to get hard a few times, but I lasted around 10-15 minutes which is a true accomplishment for me in a long time.

Just as Alex Phoenix mention, premature ejaculation sprays are good to build confidence, having normal sex or maybe saving a relationship but again some of the sprays are temporary. I plan on having sex soon in the future but with out the spray and see how that goes.

My preE is also physical, I reach ponr in less than 5 mins with no condom or spray. With a condom I have a lot more control and go over 10. I've used stud 100 a couple times, usually when I first have sex with a new girl. With stud 100 using 3 or 4 sprays and a standard condom I was fully erect and COULDN'T cum, only after 30 mins of fast, hard pounding did I finish...trouble is, the condom broke so actually didnt feel enough to cum until we were unprotected. Plus I hadn't came in over a week so I defently would've popped early without spray! Be carefully with spray...for those with preE it and feel great to go really long but I pounded the crap out of this poor girl, I need to need find a happy medium of lasting about 15 mins without being numb and feeling all the wonderful sensations.

Qportx - Yeah stud 100 had little effect on me as well but It did work one time but i waited an hour before use. Go figure. I also tried Promescent but sometimes if you put more then they recommended you can loose an erection and its even harder to get up. Is xperform new??
