    Hello all,

    I'm a brand new member to the forum but I've been reading posts on here for awhile now.
    Here's my dilemma. I'm currently active duty Air Force. My girlfriend had to go back home to finish out college and I'm here at my base. A goal I had set for myself was and still is to be able to last longer when I see her again. I've tried my hardest reading around and so on and so forth. As long as I can remember I've been way too quick on the trigger. I've had, IMO well over the average number of sexual encounters, and it is the same thing time and time again. I've read about the "causes" of PE and I am almost completely positive mine stems from bad masturbation habits, as I had been rushing it for years now not knowing the negative impact it would come to have on me today. I need your help fellas. What should I do to overcome this!?

    I recommend you read on Pelvic Floor Balance, Deep Squats, Reverse kegels, Regular Kegels and Edging. It will take time to practice the techniques discussed here and hopefully other members will chime in and offer their two cents regarding time management.

      I'll be sure to read into everything you've said! I'm a little curious about a current method I just started. It is pretty much where I masturbate until the PONR and then completely stop, put the pants back on and go about whatever it is I was doing previously. Doing this 7 days a week and only allowing ejaculation 2-3 times. What do you think?

        1. Learn to keep your pelvic floor muscles relaxed with Deep Breathing and Reverse Kegals. Many guys clench their anus or pelvic floor muscles while thrusting or stroking which happens unconsciously and automatically and is bad practice and it just increases the arousal quickly.         Try deep breathing throughout the day so that it becomes your second nature.


        2. Retrain the ejaculation reflex:
        During Edging or masturbation, learn to counter the involuntary spasms (which is major symptom of premature ejaculation). When you anticipate an involuntary spasm, do a couple of reverse kegals. Even you can do a couple of reverse kegals after each stroke or thrust. This will keep you away from spasms and keep your arousal in the zone. Here is a good thread on how to counter or retrain your ejaculation reflex with "COMPETING RESPONSE".

        3. Masturbate for staying long.
        Edge slowly, slowly and maximize your time gradually to an hour or so. Keep your stroking or thrusting rate very low. This will train your body to control excitement (which currently builds very quickly and brings you to the point of no return). When you feel your excitement is getting high or your pelvic muscles are tightened, just stop and then restart again after few seconds. You can also use deep breathing and reverse kegals to keep your arousal in control. I think this is most important.


        4. Build the reverse kegal and regular kegal strength gradually. Long holds are advised but be sure to not clench your anus while doing regular kegal. This simply reinforces the habit of clenching the anus. This is important.

          Try not to reach PONR for half an hour. Adjust your stroke rate, lubrication or grip etc., in a way that you masturbate for more than half an hour. If you hit the PONR, just relax for 30 seconds or so and restart again. Build your time of edging gradually to 1 hour or so.
          Your body should learn to not reach PONR quickly and control it. You need to break the habit of building arousal quickly and reach PONR.

              While I'm edging should I stay away from any kind of porn? I've tried this in the past and when masturbating without porn or any outside form of stimulation I can go until I don't want to anymore. Add porn to the equation and boom, 30 second guy again.

                Avoid porn while edging at first. Then you can gradually introduce some imagination, audio/visual stimuli into your edging sessions. Finally, you will introduce just little porn to your edging sessions and master it. This is gradual process.

                  The link in my signature has a section on this, with some helpful links in it. I would also reccomend you read the section entitled "Rushing to the PONR". This outlines why I agree with sameel that you should aim to maximise the time before hitting PONR. You need to learn to enjoy the plateau phase, and remove the goal of orgasm you may have seb-consciously set yoursf.

                      Hey everyone. Sorry for reviving this thread again. I think I'm having the exact same problem hornezach is having. Over-excessive & rushed masturbation causing PE.

                      I was just wondering if it is ever possible to "return back to baseline" in terms of ejaculation time?
