  • Question about edging and erection

    so i understand that in edging you're supposed to reach the plateau where u feel good and practice on make this sensation last longer and longer, my question is when you start, are you supposed to sorta rush in to the plateau or gradually go there?

    i've found that i only have a 100% erection when im close to cumming, why is that?

    You are probably holding a kegel. Relax your pelvic muscles.

      Take your time getting there so right before you feel you're going to come you're at max erection. Then at the last possible moment you can hold back from coming kegel to stop it. Let the feeling subside a second rinse and repeat.

        me pe im not holding a kegel for sure
        and when im about to cum im at max erection, but lets say i stop it right before i reach my ponr, if ill continue after i let it cool for a couple of second, after 1-2 strokes im out

              Try letting the feeling subside a bit more (couple more seconds) then build back up.

                I am having the same problem and a few things are unclear to me in regards to edging. Am I suppose to stroke the head of my penis at all? And when you say stop start how long am I stopping for? For me I start completely soft and can get a hard on - which can be very difficult, and then its just a few seconds until I am close to my PONR. I find my EQ is garbage unless I am about to cum so I am really "edging" with like a flaccid dick. I have read a lot from the forums but I need it explained to me like I am 5.

                  In case you haven't already done so, please READ THIS as well as the articles in the topmost blue navigation bar, and pay attention to safety instructions.

                  Glans stimulation during edging is considered a bit intermediate level, as it would drive you off the edge too soon without you being able to benefit from the exercise, I suggest that for now, you stimulate the shaft until you gain more experience then you may alternate your attention between the shaft and the glans as you advance.

                  When you stop, you should do so until the urge to ejaculate subsides and you can continue stimulation.

                    Hey thanks for the reply, what about the issue of not really having a quality erection without touching the head of my penis should i still edge with the shaft? Like my dick is maybe a 4 or 5 without touching the head and then it just to say an 8 or 9 after maybe 15 seconds and I am super hard but at the PONR

                      PE and stamina exercises should help you with EQ problems, its a long term process, relax and give it time.

                        EDIT: didn't see the part about not having a full erection until the end. I recommend starting a kegel/reverse kegel routine (such as the progression here: https://www.pegym.com/forums/prematu...asm-guide.html)

                        Edging may also help. Make sure you're not overstimulating yourself or using a "death grip" (search the forum; there are a bunch of good threads about it)

                        To try to train myself to keep an erection without much stimulation, I try to edge until I'm completely hard and then wait until I begin to get partially soft and then repeat.

                          At first, you'll have to get to plateau gradually. This is because, if you rush, you will simply skip straight to orgasm. There are many other factors regarding getting to plateau, which can be found in the edging for premature ejacualtion thread in my signature.

                          You both have issues separating erection level and arosual level, I suggest you read through https://www.pegym.com/forums/prematu...-response.html and try and distinguish the two. Don't worry if you find the latter weeks of that guide too hard for now, just try and do the first week or two.

                          Linking erection with arousal is both psychological and physical. Physical because the penis is more sensitive with better EQ- this is expected and can be dealt with. Psychological because for you a good EQ is linked in your brain to ejaculation- only time and arosual control will help with this.

                            Reading a number of threads about edging there appears to be some confusion as to wether ejaculation is postponed/stopped by either kegeling or reverse kegeling. Are some people doing this backwards or is this just a confusion in the wording used?

                              @Dissily - stopping PONR with a kegel or RK is advanced. I would just go slow, try to control your reaction to stimulation and try not to hit PONR at all.

                              @boatsandhoes - you should be able to get completely hard before starting stimulation. Like ammonite said, erection level and arousal level are two separate things.
