  • Documenting My Battle

    I've been reading up on a lot of information on this site for the past week or so. I decided to take all the knowledge I gained and start putting it into effect tonight. I figured this is the perfect place to keep track of my progress. Hopefully my public log allows you guys to help me out along the way, and who knows this might even help others out who are struggling like I am.

    First off, I've been suffering from PE since the first time I had sex. I believe it is a result of poor masturbation habits, obviously trying to finish up real quick and get on with my life. I do remember when I first began masturbating, I used lube just about every time. It did take me longer than I had the patience for to get off. There were plenty of times that I got frustrated when trying to get one done quick before the shower, etc. and I would be squeezing a hard kegel in hopes to get it done sooner. Eventually I moved on to porn and this helped get things done a little quicker, and now I can rub one out almost instantly if I want to. On a good note, I haven't watched porn, or even had the urge for months now which is great because it seems like the overall census onsite is that porn is the devil.

    So there's a little background. My next post will contain the details of my first step into curing this horrible disease. This thread is mainly for me to track my progress, but feel free to chime in with pointers or to ask questions at anytime.

    Day 1:

    Tonight before bed, I started my first exercise. I had a 20 minute session of plateau edging. The head of my penis seems to be my problem as it is very sensitive. Since this is the case, I decided to edge by just using the shaft. I did this so I could last for more than 15 seconds before hitting PONR. I avoided touching the head at all costs, except to occasionally wipe away some emerging precum. This session took place with me sitting on the toilet alternating between two positions, leaned back with my legs out and leaned forward with my feet close to me. I alternated directions in which my penis was pointing to see if this played in on stimulation.

    I concentrated on staying relaxed, breathing steadily, and maintaining a firm grip and fair stroking speed. I occasionally would feel the area between my balls and anus, more toward the anus, with a finger to see if I could feel any unwanted spasms or pushes. I tried to stay on top of my breathing but found myself changing my stroking speed when I wasn't paying attention to that. This was all with NO lube by the way. I felt that if I used lube, it would be very hard to avoid touching the glans. I held a firm grip and moved the skin back and forth with my hand, rather than rubbing against it.

    I tried to keep constant stimulation of a good speed ("up, down, up" for every 1 second; so 3 strokes/1.5 cycles per second), only slowing down, tightening my grip, or both to keep myself relaxed. If I felt the sensations getting a little too intense, I backed off a bit and applied a strong reverse kegel (I alternated between both front and back RK). I only stopped stroking completely one or two times just for good measure.

    I never actually reached PONR. I know that I could have at any moment I wanted, but I did my best to just stay away from it, even though I was quite close. At the 20 minute mark, I pulled the pants up and left the bathroom. I'm going to try to only ejaculate on every third day.

    I know if I incorporated the head into the strokes, I wouldn't have made it more than 10-15 seconds before my PC muscles would take over and my penis would jump up uncontrollably.

    Tomorrow I'm going to start a RK routine. I think for the day I'm just going to do long RK holds (10 seconds a piece) whenever I think about it, at least 10 times. I will also do 50 short RK sometime throughout the day.

    Wondering, is it suggested to do either front or back RK? Or should I do the same workout twice a day, once for the front and once for the back?

      Do more of the short holds and less long ones, if your just starting long holds will put too much strain on the muscle. You'll more than likely work back and front together so isolation won't come for a while.

        I feel like I can isolate them a little bit. It's hard to tell if you're doing it correct without having someone who knows feeling what your feeling lol.

          Don't even worry about the feeling, even after week 1 you'll feel a big difference in doing them.

            Day 2:

            Edged tonight for 25 minutes straight. No lube, continued the stroking speed I used last night avoided the head entirely. Pretty much constant stimulation, only stopped complete touching/moving 2 or 3 times just for good measure. Never reached PONR. I could have hit PONR at anytime I wanted but I focused hard on not letting the feelings/sensations get to me (trying to tackle the mental part, not let my penis be the man). Alternated between a moderate but full grip and a tight/strong grip. Tomorrow I will attempt the same thing just for 30 minutes, and will empty the tank at the end of the session.

            I paid close attention to the area in between the balls and anus again with a finger or 2. Didn't notice any real kegels or spasms. I voluntarily kegeled just to see what would happen down there and it pushes out quite hard. Did not experience this during the edging session. Maybe there were still small ones that I couldn't identify.

            I also did 1 set of 50 short but slow and controlled RK prior to the edging session while lying in bed. After the session, I did 1 set of 30 deep squats. I was going to do 50 but I didn't realize how much my legs would burn. I will probably do another 50 RK in bed before I go to sleep.

            I may begin running a half mile a day as well, hopefully beginning tomorrow.

            Where do you guys edge? Do you stand or sit? My first two sessions took place sitting on the toilet. That way I don't have to stand the whole time, but there still isn't a hard surface applying pressure on my PC muscles.

              I switch up positions sometimes during edging, but mainly i do it lying on the bed with my back up on the pillows so not fully lying, this is hardest position for me to last long in thats why. But if i am reaching ponr or at it, i sit up or stand up and i can continue longer with more vigor, when i lay back in my original position i finx it easier aswel, possibly because the adjusments and the weight being lifted off the pf has relaxed it more.

                Day 3:

                Edging session lasted 30 minutes before I stopped conciously changing pace/stimulation to last. Only went on for another minute before spilling the cookies. This time I reached PONR a little after 6 minutes and had to pretty much completely stop stimulation for maybe a minute. Though that felt like a failure at first, I think this helped me to find my sweet spot. On the underside of my penis, just below the head on the left side. Anywhere else I touched I didn't feel much of a sensation. Since this spot is pretty high up toward the head, I pretty much avoided it throughout my 3 edging sessions so far.

                I've also realized that I have to concenrate on other things or just keep my mind free to last longer during these sessions. Any sexual thought I get in my head seems to get me too aroused. I've been trying to just tell myself that I don't feel anything, you can do this all day.

                Also alternated sitting down, standing up, and actually slight thrusting. The thrusting got me a little too aroused a little too quick. After the 30 minutes was up, I began thrusting just to see how long I could go.

                Going to do the 50 RK in bed later. Going to skip the deep squats for the night because they actually hurt my knees... Maybe I should just do the squats and hold in the squatted position, instead of going up and down?

                I just edged 3 days in a row. Should I edge again tomorrow or take the day off? When do you think I should start incorporating full strokes (including the head)?

                  Take a day off if you don't feel up to it, incorporating more fuller vigorous strokes will come in time, keep doing what your doing it sounds like it's working well already.

                    hi 2pc. like u said u last longer with shaft stroking, so ur free to start full strokes any time u want. keep in mind glans stroking is extremely sensitive. u hv to kind of fight real hard. but let me tell u have u tried penis stretching as 25yr posted. if not plz do try it. it will some how decrease ur glans sensitivity.

                      I did start trying some of those! I haven't noticed much yet. I have a problem because I get an erection quite easily while doing the stretched, and he clearly states to do them flaccid. I'm going to continue doing them, but since I've started edging I've kind of been using them just to get an erection going without porn or touching the head.

                        Day 4:

                        I'm going to take off from the edging tonight. Tomorrow I will start back up but begin to incorporate the full penis (glans and all). I'm going to keep with the RK still before bed and maybe do some stretches.

                        I'm thinking of bringing back porn. How do you guys feel about this? Even if it's just watching it without masturbating at first. Or maybe working up from mild pictures, eventually getting to full porn. I feel like I get so aroused so easily sitting in my bathroom by myself, that when it comes to real sex it is going to be an overload. I feel like I need some sort of outside stimulation to condition my mind so I don't get so excited around my girlfriend.

                        That is a huge part of my issue I think. I can just think about her sexually and the erection is uncontrollable. I start to feel sensations down there. If I have the erection for a few minutes I can feel the precum emerge. If I'm around her I'm constantly excited even if it's just standing with my arm around her or lying in bed clothed. I don't know if this is contributed to the fact that I've never been very active with the lady kind or what. But even other girls before I had my girlfriend. Dancing in the club, getting a little touchy seemed to set me off easily. I was reading about the arousal control techniques but they seem like a bunch of crap to me.

                        Even lying in bed alone to go to sleep, I pop an erection. Also always wake up with morning wood. I don't think I've ever woken up without it. Bottom line, I get erections easily.

                        And it can't be 100% arousal because even masturbating with absolutely no outside stimulation or thoughts, even without a full erection, I can still blow the load in less than a minute if I don't take it slow and controlled.

                        Another problem is that my girlfriend is away at school at the moment, so I can't put any progress to the test yet. But I guess this just gives me more time to condition.

                          Also want to throw this out there. In the past, I've gone weeks without masturbating/sex. At these times, I would have wet dreams regularly, every 4 or 5 days. Recently since my girlfriend left for school, I kind of stopped the masturbating again (odd, I know). I would go over a week sometimes without it. Haven't had a wet dream recently though so maybe that is progress. Just a thought.
