I believe it was an interview with Dave Asprey, or maybe it was Tim Ferriss, but they were talking about an issue they had where they thought they just had to push themselves harder but in reality they had a physical factor silently getting in their way. The idea being that no matter how hard you try, some things just have to be taken out of the equation first unless you want to work uphill the whole time.
Theories of premature ejaculation include:
- psychological
- body chemistry, hormones, etc
- physiological, nerves, structure
I'm currently looking into body chemistry, so if anyone wants to share any links on that topic feel free. Here's the first one I came upon, which talks about a relationship with thyroid hormone.

Personally, I do expect diligent effort can be successful even if going uphill, but I do notice that some of my biggest bursts of improvement seem to come with changes in either: diet, exercise, etc. In other words, yes, I see benefits from manual and other prejac exercises, but I tend to notice these wildly noticeable, unexpected, and often substantial improvements that seem based in some other factor besides my routines. It just makes me think it will be worth it to look more into the picture. Perhaps one day I'll get a hormone panel done. From thyroid, to testosterone, to prolactin, so many things seem to get brought up in relationship with premature ejaculation. Then of course, throw in neurotransmitters and things like histamine, etc. Right now I'm a bit focused towards hormones, but the whole body chemistry thing is a topic on my mind right now.

And yes, I give full faith to the power of the exercises.
